FirstSpear is in the business of providing innovative solutions to long unanswered challenges. Our Tubes technology reaffirms that position. The common closure method for most armor carriers on the market today is to join the cummerbund in the front with hook & loop fasteners. This presents many performance failures. The hook & loop adds weight and bulk, is noisy and wears out quickly, retains water, mud and snow. From a safety standpoint the hook and loop closure flap allows for cummerbund protection accessories like side plates and inflatable flotation to shift position and misalign from where they should be to provide maximum performance. The common release mechanisms found in vests utilize a variety of cables, routed through a complex maze of channels. When assembled correctly these can be clumsy, heavy,

The redesigned front panel has an internal zippered admin pocket along the top of the plate bag with a 4"x9" loop field for identifiers. Along the bottom of the front panel is a second loop field which has been added to facilitate use with the new FirstSpear Admin Placard and Magazine Pocket Placard found on page 39. The Instant Access Back Panel allows for easier access to adjust your cummerbund. Both the front and back of the carrier features interior facing channels that allow end users to purchase and place foam plate backers to increase comfort and ventilation. Born from a direct request by Tier 1 operators, the Fight Panel is a placard, panel and micro style chest rig, combined. Used in conjunction with the X-Strap (sold separately), this chest rig maximizes 6/12 laser cut technology for weaving pockets and pouches and Tubes® Rapid Closure System for quick donning, doffing and reconfiguring. As a panel and placard, the fight panel can be secured into any FirstSpear carriers’ cummerbunds that attach with the Tubes Closure System. The Fight Panel has an integrated hook backed placard that joins with abdominal loop on carriers such as the Strandhögg™ v3. Affixed hook and loop strips on the back of the removable placard allow for weaving into MOLLE or Laser Cut platforms in order to secure for greater load bearing beyond a standard row of magazines and general purpose pockets. The bottom of the panel provides access to aid weaving pockets and acts as a hasty set of pockets when turned upside down.
