Nantucket Conservation Foundation

Working to help preserve Nantucket’s character, the NCF offers property experiences, scientific research and maintains areas of the island for public education and passive recreation purposes.

Linda Loring Nature Foundation

The founder, Linda Loring, was a land conservationist and Nantucket enthusiast. She purchased multiple parcels of land since 1957, eventually connecting them into a 270-acre tract which is now a wildlife and plant sanctuary right off Eel Point Road.

A local nonprofit, the NLC enforces conservation restrictions, scientific research and educates the public on local environmental issues.

The Trustees of Reservations

The Trustees work to preserve the Coskata-Coatue Wildlife Refuge. Walking tours are available, as well as Oversand Vehicle Permits for the more adventurous that wish to drive on to Great Point & Coatue.

Nantucket Lighthouses ack.fish/lighthouses

Nantucket has three lighthouses: Brant Point, Sankaty Head and Great Point, all with their own story and look. Brant Point is moments from downtown, Sankaty is located on the east end of the island in ‘Sconset and Great Point is for the more adventurous, past Wauwinet within the Coskata-Coatue Wildlife Reserve.
