Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery, due to open in Chequer Street, St Albans in a few weeks, have been championing ‘glamorous recycling’ for 25 years. Taking customers’ existing, and often sentimental pieces of jewellery and redesigning them into a perfectly tailored piece of jewellery for the price of a generic, high-street engagement ring.

St Albans has a fascinating history with food and drink with rich heritages including it being home to England’s oldest pub and the precursor to the Hot Cross Bun. It is said that the Alban Bun originated in St Albans where Brother Thomas Roclliffe, a 14th Century Monk at St Albans Abbey, created the original recipe. From 1361, Brother Thomas would bake these buns to feed the poor on Good Friday.

If health and wellness is top of your list of things to focus on in 2023, then look no further than David Lloyd Bushey on Hartspring Lane, which has just undergone a £4m transformation including a luxurious new Spa Retreat with Spa Garden. making it one of the area’s standout health clubs. The Club has been given a whole new look including a brand-new business hub, group indoor cycling and mind & body studios, renovated stylish Clubroom and DL Kids area, and a newly refurbished pool.
