Now that you have paid your Admissions deposit, you will want to make sure you are taking care of all the key financial aid tasks. The Financial Aid Office staff is committed to assisting both you and your family with the Financial Aid delivery process. It is critical that you – as the financial aid applicant – take responsibility for all the associated financial aid steps in order to ensure that your move-in later this summer is seamless.

File the 24/25 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at www.fafsa.gov
If your FAFSA has been selected for Verification, please go to the link provided to you in the email sent to you from Inceptia
Check your Fisk email for your Award Letter which will direct you to the Colleague Self-Service portal where you can view your Financial Aid Awards along with any associated tasks
Accept/Decline your aid for Fall ‘24 and Spring ‘25 within the Financial Aid portal
If you Accept your Subsidized and/or Unsubsidized Student Loan(s), complete two required tasks at wwwstudentaidgov:
(1)Entrance Loan Counseling
(2)Master Promissory Note (MPN)
If you are a Tennessee state resident and you would like to be considered for Tennessee State Scholarship fund eligibility (TN HOPE and TSAA) - you will need to ensure that Fisk University’s school code is listed first on your FAFSA along with setting up a student portal account on the TSAC website at https://www.tn.gov/collegepays/tsac-student-portal.html
If you have been awarded outside scholarships, please email a copy of the scholarship letter(s) in pdf format to Ms. Shawn Caulder at scaulder@fisk.edu and Ms. Kim Driggers at kdriggers@fisk.edu
If you need additional assistance paying your bill, your parent can apply for a parent PLUS loan at www.studentaid.gov and/or the student can apply for a private loan at www.elmselect.com. The private loan application will most likely require a co-signer
In closing, please remember that there is a separation of duties between the Financial Aid Office and the Office of Student Accounts. Being FISK-ally Responsible with Your Education.
The Office of Student Accounts welcomes you to the Fisk Family and is excited to help you along your educational journey by providing fiscal guidance, accurate information, and great customer service. The Student Accounts process begins with signing and returning the Financial Responsibility Form. To ensure a good on-boarding process please sign and return the form by June 15, 2024.
In the coming weeks information will be emailed from the Office of Student Accounts, studentaccounts@fiskedu, on the financial clearance process including cost of attendance and payment plans

The Financial Responsibility Form
The Financial Responsibility Form explains the student's responsibility for their account balance This form must be signed by the student acknowledging that they understand and are responsible for their account balance due to Fisk University The form should be reviewed, signed, and emailed to the Office of Student Accounts at studentaccounts@fisk.edu by 06/15/2024.
Review of Student Self-Service Portal with Student Accounts Staff
The Student Self-Service Portal provides students online access to various school records. The functions specific to the Student Accounts process provide access to review your account balance, make payments, and set up payment plans To help students become familiar with the portal, the Student Accounts staff will offer virtual individual or small group hands-on assistance with reviewing your balance and clearing to move on campus. Additional information will be forthcoming about the sessions’ schedule and sign-up process.
