Fisk University student onboarding is a comprehensive process designed to integrate new students into the academic and social fabric of the institution The goal is to familiarize students with Fisk's resources, policies, and support services, fostering a smooth transition into university life Through a combination of information sessions, peer interactions, and administrative guidance, onboarding ensures students feel connected, informed, and empowered to thrive in their academic journey at Fisk University

LETTER FROM GLOBAL INITIATIVES
Congratulations on your acceptance to Fisk University!
International students receive correspondence from the Office of Global Initiatives (OGI) detailing the documents required to process their I-20 within 3-5 days of their acceptance to the university.
The following documents should be uploaded to the application portal: Affidavit of Support * (document provided by OGI)
Copy of Bank Records- The correspondence will provide you with the minimum amount required for your ban records Bank records/statements cannot be older than 3 months old
Copy of passport (both pages)
Copy of enrollment ($500) and housing ($203) deposit receipts
*For transfer students only- Transfer- in Document (document provided by OGI)
Once all the documents are reviewed and approved, the I-20 will be processed in the order received. International students are responsible for keeping OGI informed of their visa approval OGI will communicate dates and times of virtual meetings that will be conducted via Zoom During the sessions, students can expect to learn more about the university, including meeting staff members and connecting with current students to learn about their experiences as an international student on our campus

The 2024-2025 New Student Housing Application and Living Learning Center Contract will be accessible on the University website starting February 15th. As a new student, it is crucial to complete and submit the following for consideration in the housing assignment process:

Being FISK-ally Responsible with Your Education.
The Office of Student Accounts welcomes you to the Fisk Family and is excited to help you along your educational journey by providing fiscal guidance, accurate information, and great customer service. The Student Accounts process begins with signing and returning the Financial Responsibility Form. To ensure a good on-boarding process please sign and return the form by June 15, 2024.
In the coming weeks information will be emailed from the Office of Student Accounts, studentaccounts@fiskedu, on the financial clearance process including cost of attendance and payment plans

The Financial Responsibility Form
The Financial Responsibility Form explains the student's responsibility for their account balance This form must be signed by the student acknowledging that they understand and are responsible for their account balance due to Fisk University The form should be reviewed, signed, and emailed to the Office of Student Accounts at studentaccounts@fisk.edu by 06/15/2024.
Review of Student Self-Service Portal with Student Accounts Staff
The Student Self-Service Portal provides students online access to various school records. The functions specific to the Student Accounts process provide access to review your account balance, make payments, and set up payment plans To help students become familiar with the portal, the Student Accounts staff will offer virtual individual or small group hands-on assistance with reviewing your balance and clearing to move on campus. Additional information will be forthcoming about the sessions’ schedule and sign-up process.

• Documentation for external awards submitted to the Office of Student Accounts and the Financial Aid Office
• Payment Plan set up is complete (sufficient for the balance due and required downpayment received).
The Student Account Office will host sessions throughout the Summer for incoming Fiskites and their Families Please check your email for correspondence from the Office of Student Accounts regarding session dates and other information submitted by the Office of Student Accounts
