BITTER ORANGE PEEL Bitter orange peel (Citrus Aurantium) naturally contains synephrine alkaloids which have been supplemented extensively for many years to aid weight loss. Research has shown that the dietary inclusion of synephrine helps to burn fat through increased thermogenesis (the body’s natural heat production) (Preuss et al, 2002) and therefore contributes to calorie expenditure and ultimately weight loss (Dallas et al., 2008). Synephrine is naturally found in everyday food and drink choices such as marmalade and fruit juices.

L-TYROSINE Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid which is involved in the regulation of mood states through the production of hormones. Laboratory studies have shown that supplementation with tyrosine reduces the cognitive, behavioural and physiological effects of exposure to stress (Deijen et al., 1999). For the endurance exerciser reducing the negative cognitive effect of stress will help increase mental preparation and focus.

CAFFEINE

A unique fat loss support formula with a blend of effective nutrients to support your lean definition goals Thermobol is the brand leader and our most popular caffeine based supplement to help those individuals looking to lose body fat. If reducing body fat is your goal, the starting point is to create a calorie deficit through a combination of controlling your calorific intake and regular exercise. Thermobol is designed to increase your metabolism and improve fat oxidation, supporting your fat loss goals as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Caffeine is a naturally occurring stimulant which acts on the central nervous system; consumed by many people through drinking coffee, tea, cola and energy drinks to increase alertness and provide a mental boost. Caffeine intake could also benefit exercising individuals, certainly those keen to reduce excess body fat, by increasing fat oxidation (Westerterp-Plantega et al., 2006; Acheson et al., 2004), whilst also reducing the Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE)(Doherty and Smith, 2005). In essence, this means that caffeine could affect exercise by making it ‘feel’ easier; this could motivate individuals to exert more effort and therefore burn more calories, further assisting weight loss. A dose of 75mg of caffeine has been shown to increase alertness and attention, whereas bolus amounts consumed up to 3mg/kg of bodyweight have been shown to improve endurance performance by reducing RPE. Each Thermobol tablet contains 148mg of caffeine.

GREEN TEA EXTRACT Green tea extract is used as a weight loss ingredient due to its active polyphenols and catechins. Specifically Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) a potent antioxidant is thought to play a role in fat burning by up regulating norepinephrine, which impacts specific pathways and prolongs thermogenesis (Jeukendrup and Randell, 2011). A meta-analysis by Hursel et al, (2009) has demonstrated a cumulative effect from combining EGCG and caffeine, showing an increase in 24 hour fat oxidation and total energy expenditure.

CAYENNE EXTRACT This extract is derived from chilli, known as Capsaicin and has been shown to increase the body’s basal metabolic rate through thermogensis (Westerterp-Plantenga et al., 2006) and stimulate thyroid function.

BLACK PEPPER EXTRACT Black pepper extract raises metabolic rate by thermogenesis (increase heat in the body) (Westerterp-Plantenga et al., 2006) but also helps with improved absorption of the ingredients within Thermobol into the blood, enhancing their effectiveness.

B VITAMINS Thermobol is high in B-vitamins which are involved in fat, protein and carbohydrate metabolism. Based on the research evidence available a regular exerciser has a greater requirement of B-vitamins than the general population in order to perform more often at higher intensities (Woolf & Manore, 2006).

CHROMIUM Chromium is a trace element that contributes to carbohydrate and fat metabolism. Chromium is a mineral that helps the body stabilise blood sugar levels, reduce cravings and reduce insulin release (Anderson, 1998).

RECOMMENDED USE Take 3 tablets per day, split throughout the day on an empty stomach with water. Alternatively take 1 before exercise for an extra boost during workouts. Avoid taking too late in the evening due to the caffeine content.
