Master of International Business MANAGING IN A MULTINATIONAL CONTEXT
305-348-3279 mib@fiu.edu For professionals pursuing success in today’s dynamic global business environment, the Master of International Business (MIB) is the ideal specialized degree, one in which you can fine-tune your business expertise while focusing on international business and the world’s emerging markets. The MIB boasts an innovative and unique international curriculum and therefore distinguishes itself from similar programs at other schools.
If you already have a significant business background, academic or practical, the MIB provides exposure to the emerging realities of doing business internationally through participation in seminars, conferences, and field trips. The program allows you to deepen your understanding of international business practices. While providing a comprehensive, graduate-level understanding of business and all its global aspects, the program also enhances your leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Your interaction with the business community gives you a chance to develop personal relationships and an invaluable network of contacts- great resources for now and for the future. You have the option of completing this program as a Dual Degree (MBA/MIB) with one of our partner schools in the Americas, Europe or Asia. We also offer joint degree programs with the Master of Science in Finance (MSF) and with the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program within the FIU Chapman Graduate School of Business as well as with the FIU Law School.
The MIB program attracted me because international business is not an ad-hoc component; the entire program is concentrated on international business. One of the main reasons why I chose the MIB is the diversity of the student body. In our program 90 to 95 percent were people who came from all over the world. The FIU MIB program is incredibly strong academically. Despite all of my business experience, I have learned many new methodologies and ideas that I can apply to the international business arena. The fact that Miami is the gateway to Latin America opens the door for students to do internships or work for multinational companies.

The Master of Science in Management Information Systems Program at Florida International University is the only program I found that offered a diverse subject in the technology field that was appealing to me when I was considering a graduate level degree. I was extremely pleased with the topics offered in each class, the structure of the program, as well as the level of experience of the professors and the overall experience provided by the staff. This program was the stepping stone in my career. Before completion of the program I was offered the opportunity of a new position at Norwegian Cruise Line. Without the knowledge attained from this program I would not have succeeded in my new role nor all the future growth attained thereafter in my career.
