Three of the best tools for losing weight online If you’ve ever struggled with your weight before, and hey, let’s face it, if you’re anything like us then you almost certainly will have, you won’t need us to tell you just how challenging and frustrating the entire process can be. You may be doing extremely well, having lost several pounds consistently for several weeks or even months in a row, and then either personal problems, or a holiday will result in you breaking your diet, undoing all of your hard work, and finding it difficult to get back on track. We’re not saying you need to be a size zero to be beautiful, we’re not even saying that you need to lose weight to be beautiful, but if you are overweight, you should ideally lose weight in order to look after your health. As we say, we know that losing weight can be challenging, especially if you’ve been at it for a long time, but if have the right support, and the right tools at your disposal, things will become much, much easier. Thanks to that miraculous invention that is the internet, you now have a wealth of tools online at your disposal that can, and will, help you to lose weight in a safe, enjoyable, and effective manner. Here’s a look at just three of the best. SparkPeople – http://www.sparkpeople.com/ SparkPeople is a weight loss based website featuring a whole variety of online weight loss based tools. The site features nutritional information, calorie counting tools, and of course the vast support system that is the SparkPeople community. You can find tools that will track the types of foods you eat, the drinks you drink, and even the exercises that you do. Users can share tips with one another, they can share their problems, their triumphs, and they can let others know about their progress and what it is that they’ve been doing. There is even a mobile friendly version of the site so you can log in and get started whilst on the move. Oh, and it’s also entirely FREE! Live Strong – http://www.livestrong.com/ Live Strong is another fantastic online weight loss resource that is actually a branch of Lance Armstrong’s LiveStrong charity. The main thing to take away

from this site is the fact that it isn’t based just around losing weight. Weight loss can be just as unhealthy as actually being overweight if you use the wrong methods, and this site recognises that, which is why it places a strong emphasis on being fit and healthy rather than just losing weight. There is a sub section known as the Daily-plate that allows users to simply track calories and activity etc but if you explore the whole site, you’ll find a number of helpful healthy living hints, tips, and stories. This too is FREE which makes it ok in our book. Lose it – http://loseit.com/ Lose it is a web based mobile application for the iPhone/iPod touch and is unbelievably user friendly. If you’re looking for an easy to use weight loss/ management tool that does exactly what it says on the tin, then this is the app for you. There is a huge database of foods containing their macros and calorie content and it has the ability to also track your exercise and activity times, before combining the two. From there it creates a chart that you can access at anytime, from anywhere, and it will tell you how many calories you’ve consumed, burned, and how many you have left. If you’re looking for a simple and effective way of tracking your calorie consumption and daily activity levels then this is the app for you, and once again, it too is FREE to download and install on your device. Bonus: I just got back from a holiday at PhuketFit in Thailand: http:// www.phuketfit.com/ I was really impressed by the programs at their retreat and will definitely be heading back next holiday season!

Why is sport important I’m sure you are all aware that the key to a happy and healthy life is by doing sport. This idea is widespread all over the world, mostly in countries with high rate of obesity. If you are not that interested in the healthy aspects that working out gives you( although it’s the most important thing in life-being healthy), I’m sure you will be intrigued if you know it will help you look good, because looking good these days is an important thing for most women,

after all. Women care more for this aspect because they are also called the ‘beautiful sex’ , so it’s no wonder they are preoccupied on looking good and staying fit, and even though they are more concerned about this they have to work harder than men. After a age and maybe a kid your body will sure change it’s aspect, and in most of the case, it changes into something worse. But don’t think that younger women can get fit easier, most teenage girls deal with obesity and although a bad diet is the main cause of it, some can’t do much because it’s their metabolism that gets in the way. If you want to keep fit and be healthy you can’t just keep eating less food or dieting all your life, you must work out too, because sedentariness counter fights your dieting. Most women just choose to diet because it take less time than exercising, but even though your schedule is full try working out at least 30 minutes a day. You don’t actually have to go to the gym to work out, you can simply do some exercises at home, and if you don’t have time for that either just try finding some alternatives in your daily routine, like riding your bike to work or instead of doing errand slow, try speeding up your pace a bit or even jog a little. When people say they don’t have time for working out they are just lying to themselves, and that’s a shame because sport means health and if you keep avoiding doing it you’ll be sorry sooner or later, so why risk it?
