November golf has been a tough proposition with two snowstorms that left the golf course buried. Let’s hope this trend doesn’t continue and we eventually get some nice days to play golf. Weather depending, there will be two hole locations on each of our greens on both golf courses. This is done to help spread out foot traffic on our greens during the winter months when changing hole locations on a daily basis is not possible. With this, we ask that once your group holes out on a particular hole, you place the flag in the alternate hole location. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation. On a personal note, I just returned from Palm Springs, California where I attended the PGA Annual Meeting. The meeting was historic, as the PGA of America voted in our first woman President, Suzy Whaley. Along with this historic component to the meeting, there was much discussion regarding the upcoming changes to the Rules of Golf. Throughout the winter, I will be sending emails discussing some of the more important changes to the rules. These changes are designed to make the game more enjoyable for all players and should help speed up play tremendously. Stay tuned for my updates; I can’t wait for your feedback. We hope you’ll join us as we host our annual Member Appreciation Day and Sale on Wednesday, December 5th from 4p to 8p. We look forward to showing our appreciation for the great membership we have at the Club! Enjoy a complimentary beverage from 4p to 8p as you shop and take advantage of special pricing on any items ordered during the evening. All in-stock items will be generously discounted as well. To help lighten your load during the holidays, the Golf Professionals will provide complimentary gift-wrapping on all pur chases made in the Golf Shop this month. On behalf of the Golf Professional Staff at The Country Club at Loch Lloyd, I would like to extend our best wishes to you and your families for a blessed holiday season. Thank you for your continued support of the Club in making the 2018 season a success! See you on the first tee, Sean

A Testimonial about Yo-Golf Conditioning:
“When I first started doing Yoga for Golfers, I was struggling with my knees. It was difficult to walk down stairs without holding the grab rail. Joni was patient with me as I was not very flexible and didn’t have good balance. I have been doing Yoga for Golfers for two years now and I can easily trot down the stairs, hands-free, and my balance is greatly improved.” — Jim Turner, Golf Enthusiast

Dear Members,
JEFF STEEN DIRECTOR OF GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE jeffs@lochlloyd.com
A Question from the Course This month, the question from the course is concerning for all of us and I’m not sure I have a good answer.
“Where did the tire tracks all over #1 green come from?” A great question. As you can see from the two pictures below, we suffered some damage to not only the green, but also the bunker and surrounds to #1 recently. It’s always tough for the Golf Course Maintenance team to see unnecessary damage to the property. The team takes great pride in their work and strives every day to provide a product that exceeds expectations for the ownership, members, guests and fellow associates. We all want to have pride in our community, so please be mindful of unnecessary damage.

Mother Nature has been relentless throughout the month of November and looks like we may be in for a long winter. With the busy holiday season upon us, please travel safe and enjoy the time with family and friends. On behalf of the entire Golf Course Maintenance team, I’d like to send everyone our warmest wishes. Have a Merry Christmas! Jeff Steen, CGCS Director of Golf Course Maintenance Page 6
