A MESSAGE FROM Brian Illig

Dear Residents and Members, I hope that my letter finds you and your family well As 2022 begins to wind down, I want to provide a quick year-end recap and some insight as to what 2023 will bring for Loch Lloyd and our community When I became owner a year ago, I made a commitment to community engagement. We’ve kept that promise as my team and I have worked with each of Loch Lloyd’s governing bodies to lay out our vision and explore a path forward. A path that will elevate and transform Loch Lloyd into one of the very best experiences known in golf, and a leading residential experience that communities near and far seek to model Out of the gate in 2022, we kicked off projects that would have near-term impact, while also beginning the important work of planning longer-term projects critical to achieving the vision for Loch Lloyd Early in the year we made several significant changes at the Club, including introduction of our new Executive Chef Nicholas Bandelier, along with new menus, and new service standards. We elevated Kim Palmer’s role in Club Operations and have expanded her team, bringing an increased focus on the collective member experience -- from revitalized golf tournaments, to new food and beverage experiences such as our wine tasting events, and the launch of exciting new social and gathering opportunities. And in late summer we continued to build bench strength with the addition of Steve Welsh as our CFO. Our team has also worked to analyze the long-term financial health of Loch Lloyd Country Club, including a wish list of deferred maintenance that we now know would exceed $2.5MM to tackle in total. In collaboration with the Club’s Advisory Board, we’ve implemented Capital Fees, and those funds will support various projects, beginning immediately with a long overdue $250K project to repair and make significant improvement to the Club and golf course walkways and cart paths. We’ve also initiated a project to build a permanent restroom structure between holes 9 and 10, to elevate the portable eye sore that exists today This location will offer restrooms and light food services and include an area that can expand with tents and other opportunities to gather during events and tournaments. Both projects are scheduled to be complete prior to the 2023 golf season Once we have those initiatives under our belt, we’ll begin the process of renovating our fitness facility including the addition of more than 2,000 square foot of space and upgrading to modern and more high-tech fitness equipment. This $1MM+ project is expected to be complete Q4 of next year.

3

I’m also pleased to confirm that our team is close to finalizing a blueprint that will bring significant improvement to our Clubhouse, as well as the addition of new lifestyle amenities, including best-in-class racquet and health facilities We’ll share information regarding the development of incremental amenities in early 2023, and a plan for the Clubhouse will follow shortly thereafter. This year I’ve had numerous meetings with the Village Trustees, the Club Advisory Board, and the South and North HOA Boards We’ve engaged in discussion around important aspects of the forward-looking vision, including our goal of building ‘one community’, and the addition of the Blue Valley property, all of which could benefit our community for years to come Our team also conducted rigorous financial analysis and the necessary due diligence to explore all workable options for the Sechrest property It is a complicated situation, and this fall we began dialogue with the Village Trustees, the South HOA Board, and the South HOA at-large, to develop a financially and strategically sound plan for use of the Sechrest. My team and I are enthusiastic about collaboration with each of these groups in an effort to reach agreement on a viable plan, but there is still much work to do The outcome of our collective work to build a plan for the Sechrest will be the mechanism that will provide the financial capacity for improvements to the Clubhouse and development of new amenities.

Our first year has unfolded as I anticipated with a lot of listening and robust conversation, deep analysis and hard work, and purposeful engagement across our community While we’re not ‘there’ yet, and the process of building our vision will take time, 2023 holds much promise and we have many new experiences to look forward to as a community As we head into the new year, be assured that my team and I are diligently at work with the goal of transforming Loch Lloyd into a world-class golf and residential experience. With your help, and as ‘one community’, we will make it a reality.

My family and I wish you a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year.

Oh what fun it is to work at Loch Lloyd Country Club during the holiday season!

This month was madness in the best of ways Starting with the Christmas Lighting Ceremony, complete with live music, face painting and a hot cocoa bar – the month started with a BANG! A popup Christmas concert, Ladies Holiday Bubbles, Brunch & Boutiques, Ugly Sweater Party, and who can forget Brunch with Santa. The Club hosted more than a handful of activities for our members and played host to numerous other holiday parties as well THANK YOU for allowing us to be a part of your memories!

A mouse for a cat

An Alaskan fur

A snake (… not to worry. She already has a couple of jumping spiders and can handle the snake with ease)

A screwdriver Cereal

And talk about memories I was able to connect with Santa after the brunch He really enjoyed all the kiddos and learning about their lists. Some of the most memorable items wished for on the Big Guy’s lap I hope everyone got everything on their lists… except for that snake. And if that beautiful little girl in the long Christmas dress that matched her sisters got the snake – PLEASE keep an eye on it!

Getting ready to turn the calendar to 2023 means new initiatives for the Club and getting a jump start on events is a priority. In this newsletter, you will find the next 3 months of activities that will be hosted by the Club It is our goal to offer something for everyone each and every month – families, young professionals and the more experienced members You will be seeing a lot of “new” on the calendar and it’s our hope you all jump in and join us for the fun. We are working on a year-long calendar and have the “rough draft” complete and will share with our members once we have the complete details Have a question about something on the schedule? Please don’t hesitate to give me a call.

LLLGA INFORMATION

It was exciting to see so many beautiful women having a great time at the December’s Ladies Luncheon. In a sea of festive attire, the club was filled with peals of laughter and the flow of good cheer. It got me thinking, for those of us who choose to stick it out in KC, why aren’t we doing more such gatherings in the cold, golf-less winter season??

So, to keep us connected during the dreary winter months, we’ll be teeing up a happy hour gathering on the second Thursday and wedging in a lunch date the fourth Wednesday of each month up until the start of the 2023 golf season! Our first Teed Up Happy Hour will be on January 12th and our first Wedged In Lunch will be on January 25th. I’ll send an email with more information about these gatherings but, in the meantime, save those dates on your calendars. If you’re in town, I hope you’ll join us for happy hour, or lunch, or both! And, let’s not have the fun end there! Feel free to reach out to me with other ideas and suggestions on how to maximize the enjoyment of our LLLGA experience. As we close out 2022, let’s kick it up a notch in 2023 and make time to enjoy our club and the company of our golfing ladies to the fullest!
