Dear Members,
MARCH 2019
We’re counting down to spring and are hopeful that the cold weather, snow storms, blizzards and ice are behind us as we enter the month of March. Hope springs eternal! Despite the frigid temps and inclement weather, we enjoyed seeing so many of you brave the elements and join us at some of our February events such as our Valentine Dinner, Valentine Brunch and Father/ Daughter Dance. Steve Shrawder Club President
A big thank you goes out to Spencer Roberts, Director of Golf Course Maintenance, and his entire team for their tenacity as they cleared sidewalks and parking lots again (and again and again!) to keep members and staff safe.
The month of March brings more events for you to enjoy and, with the “luck of the Irish,” beautiful weather to get out and golf. Hope to see you at the Club soon!

Dear Members, What a winter we have experienced so far this year! From October 2018 up to today (February 25th), we have experienced 37 days in which it has snowed. Our total snowfall for the winter has reached 26.3 inches which is 7.7 inches over our annual average. With the cold weather still lingering, I suspect the total snowfall number will unfortunately only grow.
Spencer Roberts Director of Golf Course Maintenance
March will be a very busy month for the Golf Course Maintenance team. The team will continue to finish our annual tree work and complete multiple small projects throughout the course. We will also charge our irrigation system, start essential fertilizer applications and conduct our spring greens aerification. Greens aerification is a very important practice to create great golfing conditions throughout the season. Not only will this help create firm and fast conditions, this process has long-term benefits for the turf to be healthy when stressful periods become present. Hopefully the weather dramatically improves and we see everyone on the course soon! If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely, Spencer Roberts Director of Golf Course Maintenance

We’re ready to trade in “Cabin Fever” for “Spring Fever” and are pretty sure you’re on board with that trade! The first day of Spring is coming up on March 20th. We can only hope that the ice, snow and frigid temperatures are behind us so that we can get our golfers back on the course and our members enjoying a glass of wine on the Veranda.
John Geiger
Executive Director Food & Beverage
With warmer weather around the corner, the staff is busy getting ready in a multitude of ways. We have recently rolled out our spring dining menu which offers several new items while keeping some “tried-and-true” favorites. You’ll notice a new look to our menu and we’ve simplified things by offering all items all the time. That’s right … we’ll no longer have a dinner menu and a separate casual menu. Our talented culinary team will add variety each Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening with seasonal specials — priced right and utilizing local sources when possible. If you’re a wine lover, you’ll want to sign up as a member of our annual Wine Club, Uncorked! See complete details on the next page and sign up soon to start taking advantage of the program’s many benefits. As we thaw out, we hope to see more and more of you at the Club! As always, we thank you for your support and welcome your questions and feedback. John Geiger Executive Director of Food & Beverage
