OPERATIONS Golf

Sean Hanna, Director of Golf

As the calendar enters October, it’s time to start winding down on golf events and time to start thinking about the upcoming holidays With the exception of a few season long matches still yet to be played, it’s hard to believe that the golf season is already over, it seems like is just started not so long ago.

The Brigadoon Classic was a huge success and thank you to all that participated in this year’s event! Congratulations to all of the flight winners and their guests.

Although it is starting to slow down on the golf course, please continue to take care of the golf course to the best of your ability Properly fix ball marks on the green, rake bunkers, fill divots, pay attention to cart rules and maintain a proper pace of play. Let’s enjoy our beautiful golf course during the terrific autumn days!

See you on the 1st tee,

Sean

Congratulations to Frank Janoski, winner of the Individual Net Match Play Championship, Nicklaus Flight.

Congratulations to Jeff Myers (left) and Gus Yang (right), the winner's of the Watson Flight Fourball Championship

Seeding Over seeding of the rough will continue into October Recent high temperature have pushed back our seeding practice a few weeks later than expected. Please abide by any roped off areas to aid in turf growth.

Aerification Greens aerification was completed on September 7th. This proved to be a smooth process as all holes have recovered and grown in We will begin aerifying and topdressing tee and approach surfaces in October.

Natives We continue to mow and trim native areas. These areas have grown aggressively in recent weeks but will slow down as cooler weather approaches.

Tree Work The Fall and Winter months allow us to get caught up on much needed tree work throughout the property We have already identified over 75 trees that need attention throughout the course. Many Ash trees throughout the property have declined to the point that they will be complete removals. We are working on a plan to replace any strategically placed trees throughout the property.

Please feel free to contact me at the email below with any questions or concerns!

Best regards,

-Grant Suderman

Our team remains dedicated to ensuring an exceptional experience for all members. Regardless of how you are enjoying the Club golf, dining, private events and club sponsored activities our focus is on delivering a consistent and elevated product in all that we do. Our first step in high level execution is always hiring the right people. Hannah Huffman has been an impactful new addition to our Food & Beverage Team and she has added some new faces. Help me in welcoming Adam Daniel and Theresa Wilson, assistant managers in our Food and Beverage Department.

If you have been in the Clubhouse the last few months, I am confident you were greeted by the incredible Brytoney George. Never without a smile on her face, Brytoney has been serving as the Concierge Associate at the Front Desk and lending a resourceful hand to our events Her talents in events are evident and we delighted to announce we are naming her Events Associate, effective immediately. She will be your resource for all events so be sure to reach out if you are interested in hosting an event at the Club. While you will continue to see her enthusiasm throughout Loch Lloyd, our newest addition will become your new favorite as you walk in the door. It is my pleasure to announce Ciara Mayes as Associate.

The team plays an important role in your experience at Loch Lloyd and coming in a close second is FOOD! Can you believe it was just a little more than 4 weeks ago when we unveiled our new menu? At that time, we temporarily suspended to go’s, with the exception of pizzas, after 4pm. This decision was made to set our kitchen and serving associates up for success as they worked to give an excellent experience. As promised, this change was only temporary We are excited to announce to go service of the full menu will be available, beginning Tuesday, October 4th from 11am until 8pm. We do ask all members walk in to pick up your orders. They will be available at the front desk.

One additional and exciting change in dining is patio seating which is now open by reservation only. To make your reservation for the patio or Fireside dining, please call the front desk at 816 322 1022

And as we wrap up talking all things experience, events are definitely a headliner. On September 10th, we proudly hosted the 2022 White Out Party If you take a look at the pictures on the following pages, you will see our members brought their A game in attire and a great time was had by all. The following day, Sunday, September 11th, we let the pooches take a plunge during our Puppy Pool Pawty. And as we wrapped up September, the Brigadoon was front and center as Loch Lloyd was grateful to host 80 phenomenal players during 3 days of fun, friendship and phenomenal golf. And while we made some great memories - the fun is not close to being over!

As we finish 2022, we have a LOT of activities happening at the Club and we encourage you to check your emails, become a member of our members only Facebook group (Loch Lloyd Country Club Members Private Group) review the Events Calendar that appears in every newsletter or visit one of the bulletin boards in the Clubhouse to learn more. We are YOUR Loch Lloyd Country Club and would love to have all of our members join us for an upcoming event
