Including the battle with Dr Sweet Tooth!
A fiFixers comic Story and Artwork by children from Dartford
Hi, we’re Emily and LuLu (both 26), and we created this book with the help of Fixers, the charity that gives young people a voice. We want to help young people to eat healthier and connect with nature. We didn’t have time to start a vegetable patch so we got involved with a local allotment and health centre where we took children from Oakfield Primary School, Dartford. With their help, we made some art to use in this book. It’s designed to help children understand the benefits of producing tasty, healthy food. Thanks to the children of Oakf ield Primary School for the illustrations in this book!

It’s recommended that adults eat a maximum of 7 sugar cubes a day, whereas children should have less - about 5 sugar cubes for 4-6 year olds, or 6 sugar cubes for 7-10 year olds. A can of cola can have 9 cubes of sugar added to it. Natural foods like fruit, have natural sugar which is better for you. Source: www.nhs.uk/Livewell/vGoodfood/Pages/sugars.aspx
