MOTUS O walks the thin line between serious-ness and satire.
Toronto Star
After 34 years, it's time to say goodbye to MOTUS O with a special farewell show. Their inaugural professional performance took place at Markham Theatre over three decades ago, and now, this marks their final public presentation.
The much-adored dance theatre company is renowned for seamlessly blending athletic choreography, innovative staging, and whimsical humor in their family-friendly repertoire. It's truly remarkable to reflect on how a gymnast, a sheep shearer, and a figure skater crossed paths to eventually become Co-Artistic Directors of a dance theatre company. However, this diversity has become the essence of MOTUS O. Here, backgrounds and talents converge, creating a dynamic team that explores the dramatic, revels in the physical, and infuses a touch of humor into it all.
MOTUS O
Since their formation in 1990, MOTUS O has crafted thirty full-length productions for both family and adult audiences. The troupe consistently tours across North America, Europe, and the South Seas, presenting their innovative and visually captivating works to communities of all sizes.
