Since 2013, Innovation Labs has beckoned the makers of tomorrow: students and young graduates from tech fields and beyond join forces with business experts and ICT companies to create user-focused products and transformative digital infrastructures. Innovation Labs 2018 has hosted 62 teams in 8 universities in Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi, , Sibiu, and Timisoara. Through a spiral of ideation, teambuilding, product development, competition, , feedback and recalibration, young people enter the entrepreneurial mindset. From Hackathon to Demo Day, they experience the intense life of makers and shakers in a tech startup, side by side with experienced mentors from Universities, business ecosystems and the ICT industry. Teams sharpen their skills in collaboration and leadership, mastering user experiences, customer discovery, product metrics and marketing. Program partners open for participants an arena for experimenting with dedicated information solutions and infrastructures of the future, tackling the actual needs of real people, with an eye on the future. Demo Day brings graduating teams and their prototypes in the spotlight, through pitches and technical demos. It is a juncture in their entrepreneurial journey, a starting point for new insights and partnerships. The future is in the making.
