Hot out of Utah is Monster Energy Team Green Kawasaki’s Garrett Marchbanks. Garrett’s Dunlop Tires certainly
helped him lay the rubber down as he shredded his way through the competition in 2014. Marchbanks tips the scales with at least twenty Amateur National Championship titles under his belt and eagerly awaits Mini O’s for the chance at earning a few new notches. In his last 60 verified events, Garrett worked himself into the top three 42 times, 33 of which were race wins. Many of you may have seen Garrett’s top notch performance at the Monster Energy Cup last month where he landed himself a second place finish in the Supermini class inside of the absolutely packed Sam Boyd Stadium underneath the big city lights of Las Vegas. After a pair of national titles at Loretta Lynn’s this year in Mini Sr 1 (12-13) and Mini Sr 2 (12-14) as well, Garrett Marchbanks has the 85cc target tattooed on his back. With Mini O’s right around the bend, expect Garrett to use last years expertise, titles in Supercross and Motocross, to his advantage as he fights to stay atop The Dirty 100.

Busting out of La Moille, Illinois is Yamaha’s Chase Sexton. Training at Club 57 has certainly made Sexton one of the most well rounded competitors in his division, as he has brought home major National race wins in
virtually every platform…Motocross, Supercross, and even Off-Road in the GNCC Series. One of the best around on a Supermini, Chase racked up podium finishes all across the board so far in 2014. Most recently, Sexton put the #486 machine on the top spot at the final round of the GNCC Series with 1st in Supermini 14-15 also taking the overall win. What did Sexton do to prepare for the rigorous GNCC? He spent the week before racing in one of the nations premier Supercross events, The Monster Energy Cup, landing himself on the podium with a hard earned third in the stacked Supermini class. Known to be a stiff competitor at Mini O’s, Chase brought home the first place hardware in Mini Sr. (12-15) and 85 (12-13) last year in both Supercross and Motocross. Chase’s good riding throughout his Loretta Lynn Qualifiers, two national podiums at the big dance, and his recent streak of impressive finishes boost him to second in the long list of talented Dirty 100 riders.

Deland, Florida’s Hannah Hodges has seen great success during her tenure as one of amateur motocross racing’s finest female specimens. Locking up a Girls class title at virtually every event she attended this year, to say Hodges is familiar with the top spot would be a humble understatement. Hannah started things off with a pair of titles in the Girls 2 (12-16) and Women (14+) B/C classes at Mill Creek. Just as impressive as her titles is her uncanny ability to run with just about any boy in the 85 ranks, as she battled her way to a very respectable fifth overall in the Supermini class. Hannah backed these finishes with a win in her home state taking top honors in Women Amateur (12+) at Ricky Carmichael’s Daytona Amateur Supercross. Hodges luck continued as she dominated in Texas in the following weeks, going 1-1-1 in the Girls Sr, Schoolgirl, and WMX (14+) classes. Hodges great riding earned her an invite to the Monster Energy Cup, where she stuck her Team D backed Suzuki inside of the top ten on the big stage in Vegas sewing up the seventh spot on The Dirty 100.

Brown kept his throttle hand strong as he roosted his way to three Championships at the World Mini Grand Prix, winning the 85/150 Stock (14-16), Supermini thru 16, and 85/150 Modified (1416) divisions. Missouri’s Lance Kobusch raced hard in 2014 to keep the #99 Kawasaki near the front of the pack and was very successful in doing JUST THAT. Kobusch’s title
Frye has consistently remained within or near the top five all year long, starting with good finishes through Loretta Lynn Qualifiers and third and fifth place finishes at the James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship. Competing in the talent filled Mini Sr division, Frye left Tennessee with a pair of seventh place overall results in Mini Sr 1 and 2 slating himself as one of the top ten 85 racers in the country.

in 85-150 (12-13) Limited at Oak Hill was the only taste of victory he needed to know he wanted more. So after securing a pair of seconds as well at the GNC Motocross Final, he headed to Freestone where he decided he would be taking three championship titles back to Missouri with him: 85 (12-14) Limited, 85 (12-14) Modified, and 85 (9-13). Kobusch’s solid season continued as he twisted it at Loretta’s busting himself into the top five with a fifth place finish in Mini Sr 1 (12-13) and a sixth in Mini Sr. 2 (12-14).

Rounding out our top twenty five preview is Bayside, New York’s Nicholas Romano. A fresh
recruit to the Team Green Kawasaki, Romano’s 2014 results shine a very positive light on what’s to come of the former amateur national champion. Romano started the year off with a pair of 51 Open (4-8) Limited and Modified Championships at Mill Creek. Nicholas rocketed his way to the Loretta’s National Championship in the 51 (7-8) Limited class also stealing the fifth place position in on the big bike in 65 (7-9) Limited. With Nicholas already at number 25 at such a ripe young age, expect this young gun to climb the Dirty 100 with time.
