VOC of water bevat, ze in één laag kan aangebracht worden en een duurzame bescherming biedt door een revolutionaire moleculaire binding met de cellulosevezels, en dit in 40 standaardkleuren. Van waar komen we en vooral, hoe ziet de toekomst er uit voor Rubio Monocoat?

Spitstechnologie in een groen blik Rubio Monocoat olie onderscheidt zich van alle andere houtbeschermingsproducten door zijn unieke technologie van de moleculaire binding die de olie aangaat met de cellulosevezels van het hout. Alle Rubio Monocoat oliën zijn ontwikkeld op basis van deze spitstechnologie en garanderen zowel bij werftoepassingen (oxidatief) als industriële toepassingen (UV) dezelfde hoge afwerkingsgraad, met een natuurlijke look & feel én eenvoudig onderhoud.

Hoe het allemaal begon De roots van Rubio Monocoat liggen in Izegem, in het hartje van West-Vlaanderen (België). Het bedrijf achter het merk, Muylle Facon bvba, wordt in 1906 opgericht in Roeselare en krijgt bekendheid als mastiekfabrikant. Als zaakvoerder van de tweede generatie, besliste Benoit Muylle, om de schat aan knowhow die door de jaren heen opgebouwd werd, te gebruiken voor de ontwikkeling van een gamma houtbeschermingsproducten. Samen met Dr. George Barrell lag dit aan de basis van Rubio Monocoat olie zoals we die vandaag kennen.

Naast het gamma voor interieur en industrie omvat het Rubio Monocoat gamma ook een compleet aanbod aan oliën voor het beschermen van buitenhout, zowel verticaal als horizontaal.

De Rubio familie blijft groeien Het gaat hard bij Rubio Monocoat! Om de constante groei op te vangen en omdat we investeren in een hoog service niveau, ondergaat onze bedrijfsstructuur ingrijpende veranderingen. In de zomer van 2016 werd een volledig nieuwe fabriek in gebruik genomen, die uitsluitend toegewijd is aan Rubio Monocoat producten. Naast een grotere stock worden alle processen geautomatiseerd, zowel administratief als bv. het afvullen, labellen en verpakken van bestellingen. Zo zijn we in staat om nog sneller en efficiënter te leveren.

Het commerciële team krijgt ook versterking met Geert Tijtgat, de nieuwe Export Manager Asia – Australasia. The marquetry for the parquet in this residence comprises a range of wood sorts in order to obtain intricate patterns with a wide diversity of shades. The list of wood sorts for this parquet floor is very long and exclusive: oak, walnut, maple, ash, merbau, yatoba, padauk, kempas, wenge, karelia birch, lemon wood, amarant, and plataan.

Knowledge and experience required It was not only the production of the style panels for the parquet in this palace which was complex, but also the fitting itself. The room which we find there has rounded walls, and that made the fitting an extra challenge for the floor fitters. The entire plan of the parquet floor to be fitted was marked in expert fashion on the subfloor. After that, the fitters started work, and, moreover, they had to adapt the supplied wood to the whimsical contours of the room with the required flexibility. The planks between the medallions and ornamental boards were produced in yatoba and merbau. All other wood sorts mentioned above are worked into the intricate eastern figures which adorn the floor.

Top chemicals from Chimiver For glueing and finishing the solid parquet sections, Art Parquet relied on Chimiver technology. The parquet sections were glued securely with Chimiver SIGOL. SIGOL is a two-component epoxy PU adhesive without water. It is suitable for glueing wood onto various sorts of subfloors and ensured an outstanding result here, too. After they had sandpapered the wood, they first applied a two-component polyurethane primer, namely FONDO WR306. This primer has outstanding coverage qualities and can be sandpapered with no problem at all. Joints and gnarls were sealed using the Polifilm TP10 Legastucco. The floor was then lacquered with Ecostar 2K which is a two-component gloss waterborne polyurethane lacquer. This lacquer has a high quantity of solid matter and scores excellently in terms of durability. And so, the floor is ready for years of intensive use. You don’t expect anything less for a presidential residence.

We’re prepared to travel a long way for exceptional projects. In one of the residences of the president of Tajikistan we found this new parquet floor with oriental patterns, intricate medallions, and boards in various types of wood. The parquet floors were made expertly by the internationally renowned Russian parquet company Art Parquet. For the fitting and finish they called upon the services of the top quality European parquet chemical products from Chimiver.

Oriental patterns The presidential residence is located in Dushanbe, the capital of this mountainous Central Asiatic country. Eventually, Art Parquet fitted over 2,000 square metres of parquet floors. The most exceptional

parquet floor was also to be found here. This was an intricate style parquet with lavish oriental patterns and ornamental trees in lots of shades.
