Every nation owes its success to its laborers. Behind the massive growth and development of Singapore, there are many amazing people that made it happen. Other than the politicians, entrepreneurs, and patricians, laborers also play a strong role in building our nation. In Singapore, most laborers are those who do unskilled jobs and they are paid in very low wages or earn minimum income. Their work might seem simple and unimportant, but without them we would not have made it this far. These people are the construction workers, cleaners, cobbler, and many other small jobs that we are not aware of most of the time. Despite their difficult life, they are still willing to work because these amazing laborers surrender to what it is, let go of what it was, and have faith in what it will be.
This photo book showcases the various life of laborers in different places in Singapore. Just like the saying ‘a photo speaks a thousand words’, here, every photo has their own story. Each photo reflects the hard work and emotion of every amazing laborer in the most honest way. Their sweat and toil has become the building block of growth. The main objective of this photo book is to encourage people appreciate and support the amazing laborers in our nation. So that laborers can enjoy a host of privilege, earn rightful place in the industry, treated fairly with dignity.
