ABO UT U S Little Artists Art Studio is a cosmopolitan Fine Art studio, founded in Singapore in 1997, which for 20 years has nurtured the creativity of young and mature painters, sculptors and sketch artists from 2.5yrs - 17yrs as well as adults. Teaching both observational art and creative art, our students learn from innovative fine art teachers and practicing Artists with degrees in Fine Art and Design from around the world. Little Artists has received many accolades including the Asia Excellence Award from David Ong, MP of Culture, Community and Youth.

A B O UT U S Artrageous is specifically placed to help emerging artists of all ages raise their skills and passions in Fine Art and Events. One of the key goals of Artrageous is to create inspiring Contemporary Arts events and programs in Visual Arts that shine a light on young and mature emerging artists from around the world right here in Singapore. With an eye on platforms that raise the profile of our emerging artists, Little Artists Art Studio has launched many such endeavours by partnering with: The Affordable Art Fair (Nov 2015 & April 2016 & Nov 2016), The Singapore Contemporary Art Show (Jan 2016 & Jan 2017) and TATINIS (Feb 2017 - ongoing). Adult Artrageous Students are invited to join the new Artrageous Renaissance Certificate Series in order to develop their technical, experimental, conceptual, and exhibition flare in painting, sketching, and sculpting. Each Certificate Course aims to grow an artists’ distinct style in Visual Arts alongside their name. More than a course this series challenges emerging artists to exhibit amongst established Professional Artists and intern in key Arts Institutions. S H O RT C O U R S E S Our new program of short courses and classes offers the opportunity to explore subjects ranging from life drawing, landscape architecture to the techniques and history of portraiture, led by highly committed, expert professionals and practicing artists. These courses introduce classical and experimental art-making processes, as well as perspectives on the history of art and master artists. Research and analysis is highly encouraged. The courses are suitable for the beginner to the experienced. Our programs are individualized to meet all skill levels.

Students will learn proportion, composition, colour preparation and basic techniques of oil painting. This is an introductory art course of 6 lessons covering basic painting techniques with an emphasis on contemporary applications of the acrylic / oil paint medium. The objective of this course is to provide adult art students with the skills necessary to create portrait paintings by using knowledge of composition, light, depth and perspective. Students will be imparted knowledge of materials, tools and techniques used in oil or acrylic painting. The course provides the basics through an engaging introduction to painting. Topics include the use of composition, the color palette, texture, form and value through portrait painting as well as understanding various paint brushes, their uses and proper care. By the end of the course, students will have a basic understanding of these concepts and some of the basic tools used to accomplish their painting goals. • At the end of the workshop you will be able to complete one oil painting. Large canvases can take longer. • All workshops have individual demonstration. This 6 lesson workshop emphasizes still life study based on oil painting techniques for different tones and textures as well as introduction to different styles of still life. This leads students through the essential skills of object painting with a series of still life studies. You will learn how to mix colors and use different types of brushes, as well as different styles (realistic, classic, impressionist, etc.) based on famous artist’s paintings or photographs in correct proportions. It focuses on the use of different painting techniques and how to render the effect of light and shadow that will bring convincing 3-D illusion to your artwork. • At the end of the workshop you will be able to complete one oil painting. Large canvases can take longer. • All workshops have individual demonstration. OIL PAINTING SHORT COURSE 6 Months, 2 Semesters ($540/sem) Wed & Thu 10.00am-12.00pm Sun 5.00pm-7.00pm at Siglap Centre Studio

This 6 month workshop emphasizes still life, landscape, and portrait study based on oil painting techniques for different tones and textures. PHOTOGRAPHY F O R ADULTS SHORT CO U RS E 6 Classes ($270) Wed & Thu 10.00am-12.00pm at The Mandarin Gardens

Storytelling through Photography, a way to expand your scope of Fine Art even at a mature age. Learn how to tell a compelling story using a digital camera. Blending the technical aspects of photography with how to capture appealing photographs both indoors and outdoors, adults will then compile their photographs together into meaningful stories. Going beyond the nuts and bolts of how to take a picture, adults will learn editing techniques, Photoshop, and create a mini exhibition where family & friends can join in to discuss each photo-story. Learn to draw three dimensional forms of buildings and structures using multiple pen and ink techniques. Adults will pick up the skills of constructing volume(s), understanding perspective, as well as studies of light and shadow. LEARNING TECHNIQUES 1 Year, 4 Semesters ($540/sem) Wed & Thu 10.00am-12.00pm Sun 5.00pm-7.00pm at Siglap Centre Studio

The Visual Arts Certificate course offers a one year program, rich with information and practice, spread over 4 semesters of 3 months each, that develops both beginners and advanced students into practicing artists, focusing on techniques like oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolor, as well as sketching techniques using charcoal, graphite, sanguine and pastels, offering an array of methods and mediums and a good exposure to various art techniques, along with an exhibition and a one month internship in an arts organization. Students can select 3 mediums to work throughout the year. By the end of the program the student should be able to present a variety of artworks showing awareness and experience of the techniques taught, this will open an opportunity to exhibit and be a good candidate for internship in an arts organization. • All programs are individualised to the ability of the student. • Certificates are provided after completion of full course (48 lessons only). • All basic materials are provided. EXPERIMENTAL & CONCEPTUAL 1 Year, 4 Semesters ($540/sem) Wed & Thu 10.00am-12.00pm Sun 5.00pm-7.00pm at Siglap Centre Studio

The Visual Arts Certificate course “Experimental and Conceptual” offers a one year program, spread over 4 semesters that develops both beginners with some experience and advanced students into practicing artists, combining techniques and concepts, it is a complex process as it involves two important disciplines, preparing the student to develop personal style and be able to come up with original artworks. After an introduction to different to classical and experimental techniques in medium of your choice, the student will be led to develop concepts starting from relevant subjects. The program would give the student ability to combine different materials based on research and application. This course comes along with an exhibition and a one month internship in an arts organization. The Experimental and Conceptual Certificate Course will open and opportunity to exhibit at the end of the workshop, and be a good candidate for internship in an arts organization.. • All programs are individualised to the ability of the student. • Certificates are provided after completion of full course (48 lessons only). • All basic materials are provided. STYLIZATION & SOLO SHOW 1 Year, 4 Semesters ($540/sem) Wed & Thu 10.00am-12.00pm Sun 5.00pm-7.00pm at Siglap Centre Studio

The Visual Arts Certificate Program offers one year program. The main aim of the program is to facilitate development of stylization. The program is spread over 4 semesters is recommended for advanced students with a previous experience in Visual Arts. The students need to have a portfolio of previous works showing good level of skills or conceptual experimental and abstract, work reflecting development of thought process. Practicing artists should come with precise ideas, concepts or project in order to be able to work efficiently with the teacher, permanent research and updated journal are highly recommended, including experimental practice, plans and research. Stylization is a guided program that helps the practicing artist to build the artwork with a strong base, as composition, layout, color scheme, medium used, without interfering permanently with the work, but as a support to the artist in order to reach the final point which is a series of connected artworks. • All programs are individualised to the ability of the student. • Certificates are provided after completion of full course (48 lessons only). • All basic materials are provided. S T UDI O P O L I C Y Artrageous reserves the right to alter the rules & regulations, course contents, class schedule and fee structure without prior notice. Course Confirmation Participants will select their course and be notified by the Front Office of the course status via email or telephone prior to the commencement date of the course. Fees for the semester will then be paid to secure a place in that course. Certification Upon completion, participants with at least 75% attendance will receive a Certificate of Participation. Participants with at least 90% attendance will receive a Certificate of Participation and Referral Letter from the Program Director. If you complete less semesters than required to complete the full course you have enrolled in the Registrar will take note of what has been completed and wait for you to finish the balance of coursework before issuing any official Certificates or Letters of Participation. Class Location Classes are offered once weekly. Please select your class of choice. Note this will be your permanent class for the duration of your program. All Programs for Adults are offered at Siglap Centre: 55 Siglap Road #02-18 (Little Artists Art Studio) Singapore 455871 Tel: 6449 0960 / 6449 0339 Fees • Artrageous fees stated above are inclusive of materials. Canvas size of 18×24 is included in your monthly material package. (Larger canvases can be taken with payment of a top-up fee.) • Course fee excludes registration fee of $50 and Refundable Deposit of $225. With 1-Month notice of withdrawal the Refundable Deposit will be returned via cheque. • All programs are split into rolling classes or semesters (6 weeks, 6 months, 1 year). Payment is by semester, so as stated above. • Cash, NETS or Cheque payment can be made at Little Artists Art Studio from Saturday – Thursday between 11am – 7pm except Public Holidays. • All cheques should be crossed and made payable to “Artrageous Pte Ltd”. • Please write your name, program, and contact number at the back of your cheque.

Refund of Fees • If notice of withdrawal is given in writing before the course commencement date, the course fee will be refunded after the deduction of $50 as administrative charges. • No course fee will be refunded upon the commencement of the course. Cancellation/Postponement • Artrageous reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course without prior notice. • In the event that the class is unable to proceed due to unforeseen circumstances, Artrageous will process a full refund of the course fees. • All programs are split into finite classes or semesters (6 weeks, 6 months, 1 year). If you wish to discontinue a program, and for example, the course is 6 months you may stop at 1 semester, which is 3 months. Replacement of Classes • There is strictly no replacement lesson should the participant absent himself/herself from the course. Instead there are additional possible classes on any given day of the program to meet your minimum class requirement. • Lessons which fall on a public holiday will be postponed to the following week. • No transfer of course/class or deferment is allowed upon the commencement of the course. Entry Requirements • Students must be 18yrs and above to participate in Programs for Adults. • To join the 1-year Visual Arts Certificate Program: Stylization & Solo Show you must show your current portfolio to the Head of the Adult Program. If you are ineligible the Head will show suggest another Certificate Program to start from.
