Note from Christy Quote: “What's amazing isn't how much has changed, but, how you've always turned those changes into growth.” ~Matthew Ferrara Happy Holidays Team! 2020 has been all about change, adapt, adjust and accept! If anyone had asked us how 2020 would unfold, never in my wildest dreams would I have said that we would face a pandemic, the real estate market would practically fall off a cliff overnight, that the nation would experience a toilet paper, paper towel and Clorox wipe shortage and that the real estate market would rebound with a frenzy never seen before, not even in 2005, whew! We’ve become masters at adapting to change…zoom this, wearing masks, temperature checks, staying 6’ apart, COVID tests and in some cases sadly losing loved ones…all in one year. Even with all of the change, craziness and heartbreak, we are strong and resilient and we will get through this together. I am so proud of our team. Through it all you’ve led the way with calm heads, adapting to new safety measures, guiding your clients through how to do business in a virtual market, then how to resume face to face business safely. As a company of over 520 Realtors and employees, I am proud to say that less than 3% of our team has tested positive for COVID, we’ve done a lot of things right this year. A friend sent me this video earlier this week and while it is longer than I typically like to share, it is amazing and tells a story of hope, love, resilience and most of all, attitude. As you watch this, reflect on all that you are grateful for and over the holidays make sure to tell the people that have made a difference in your life how much they mean to you.

GTS takes service to another level!

Thank You AutoFlow!

I am a real advocate of AutoFlow due to the positive impacts of this platform that I have experienced. I have utilized this platform from MARY KELLEY day one and have never KRYZWICK looked back. With these realtor® murabella office gentle touches (postcards) of connecting with my sphere and referrals from AutoFlow, I have closed 8 deals in the last 18 months in alliance with my own touches and calls. Just last week I received an email from someone on my AutoFlow who asked if I would work with her to list their home and purchase another property in the WGV area. That one transaction resulted in 2 deals because I utilize AutoFlow. AutoFlow is a great resource, requires very little attention and produces some great results.

When someone says they will “give you the shirt off their back” Jim Crunden takes it to another level! BILL IRWIN broker-associate, pv At a recent closing, Jim beach office happened to be wearing a tie that matched identical to my client’s sweater. She thought it funny that her sweater and his tie were so similar. My client then commented how she had to go buy her 10 year old son some ties because he didn’t have any. Say no more! Jim literally loosened the knot, slipped the tie over his head, and handed it to my client! Talk about memories! Along with Marie and Sheila,

GTS rocks!

COVID SAFETY - BHHSFNR MASK PROTOCOLS:

meeting:

Masks are required for agents/employees entering any of our offices and when they are in common areas. The only exception is when an agent/employee is at their desk with the dividers separating them from others. If they turn around to talk to a peer, the mask needs to go on. We must create a safe work environment where our agents, employees and clients know that we are doing everything we can to ensure their safety. We require anyone entering our office spaces (including clients) to wear a mask. A mask must cover the mouth and nose.

FAIR HOUSING ACT

is just what it sounds like: instead of the buyer getting a loan from the bank, the person selling the house lends the buyer the money for the purchase.

According to the Fair Housing Act, Florida landlords cannot ask potential renters questions about medical history, age, any disability, familial status, ancestry, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, religion, color or race. IN PREPARATION FOR A BUSY AND SUCCESSFUL 2021, NOW IS A GREAT TIME TO ORGANIZE YOUR AGENT EXCELERATOR CRM! Organize your contacts in groups; keeping in mind that contacts can belong to multiple groups. Examples: AutoFlow, Hot List, Warm List, Buyers, Sellers, Open House leads… Merge any duplicate contacts by selecting “Duplicate” which will bring up any contacts where the e-mail address is listed in more than one profile. Verify that you have added your 2020 closed buyers and sellers. You should have that information in Dotloop or ask your Admin to run a Real Easy report for you.

Keeping your home safe during the holidays • • • • • • • • • • • •

Outdoor holiday lights add to the season’s festivities. Use lights that are certif ied for outdoor use and in good condition. Choose an artif icial tree that is labeled f ire resistant. If you are using a natural Christmas tree, cut two inches off the trunk and mount the tree on a sturdy stand. Keep the tree well-supplied with water and away from candles or a f ireplace. Poinsettias can spruce up your home during the holiday season, but these plants are toxic. Keep them away from children and pets. Turn off lighted decorations when you leave your home and when going to sleep. Make sure all your smoke detectors are working. According to the National Fire Prevention Association, half of home fires occur between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. When you leave your home, place your inside lights on timers to make your home appear occupied. Follow the 3-10 ft. rule. Keep your shrubs trimmed to about three feet and tree heights to no more than 10 feet to prevent burglars from lurking around your home. Make sure you always lock the front door. Be aware that criminals sometimes pose as couriers delivering gifts. When shopping at malls, park in a well-lit area. Be aware of your surroundings. Do not leave packages visible in your car. Many people are in a giving mood during the holidays and will donate money to charities. Do not become a victim of holiday charity scams. Never give your personal information to strangers. If you plan on traveling during the holidays, do not post your travel plans online. Stop your mail delivery or have a friend or trusted neighbor pick up your mail daily and ask them to check on your house as well. After the holidays, don’t advertise your gifts by leaving the boxes at the curb for garbage collection. Take the big boxes to the recycling center.
