Gurlitt in Philol. 73 (1914-16) 412, and is duly recorded in the "Additamentum ad apparatum criticum" which precedes Oldfather, Canter, and Abbott's Index verborumCiceronis epistularum (Urbana 1938). It also appears in the text of the Bude edition of Cicero's Letters, vol. 4, ed. Constans-Bayet (Paris 1950) 153, where the sentence is punctuated as a question; and in the text of the Tusculum edition of H.
