Membership includes age-appropriate access to the gymnasium, indoor pool, outdoor water park, indoor track, fitness floor, chill zone, and discounts on programs, special events, and rentals. The CAC has the following amenities: • Fitness Floor: more than 29 pieces of cardio equipment, 17 Cybex selectorized machines, walking/running track, a Smith machine, a rowing machine, and an Adaptive Motion Trainer. • Gymnasium: wood floor courts for volleyball, basketball, badminton, and pickleball. • Indoor Pool: eleven 25-yard lap lanes, diving board, waterslide, basketball goal, a toddler spray area, and AquaClimb climbing wall. • Outdoor Water Park (seasonal): a zero-entry level activity pool, two large waterslides, lazy river, vortex, water play features, three tot slides, and a 60-gallon dumping bucket. • Tot Drop: designated area for infants and child’s restroom, for children aged six months-nine years. • Chill Zone: air hockey, two pool tables, ping pong, foosball table, gaming stations, and wireless internet. • Multipurpose Rooms for programming and private rentals. • Online membership and program registrations. Also offered at the CAC: • 35 group exercise classes each week, 11 of which are aquatics -based. • Hour-long personal training sessions. • A wide variety of programs and classes for preschool, youth, teens, and adults. • Private rentals, lock-ins, and birthday party packages. • Various special events throughout the year. CAC Birthday Party Packages The Parks and Recreation Department offers different options for hosting parties at the CAC, including party packages and room rental opportunities for birthdays, end-of-season sports team parties, or other celebrations. Parties will be held for one hour in either the indoor party room or one of the outdoor water park shade pavilions. Each attendee and one parent will receive a free swim pass for the day of the party. The basic party package costs $165 for members, $185 for nonmembers and includes the party area and host (one hour), half-sheet cake, 16 ice cream cups (vanilla or chocolate), 16 drinks, 16 general party favors, e-vites, and all paper goods (tablecloth, paper plates, cups, napkins, and utensils). COMMUNITY INSIGHTS Flower Mound Parks & Trails Spend some time this spring using the great parks and trails Flower Mound has to offer! The Parks and Recreation Department maintains close to 1,000 acres of parkland. This includes approximately 60 miles of multi-purpose trails that link together parks, neighborhoods, schools, and businesses. There are also 12 miles of equestrian trails and 14 miles of unpaved hike and bike trails for public use located along the northern shores of Grapevine Lake. Many of our neighborhood parks offer a variety of playgrounds, covered picnic shelters, cooking grills, park benches, and basketball play pads. Residents also enjoy numerous youth and adult baseball, softball, football, and soccer fields, and public tennis courts. Pavilion Rentals
The Flower Mound Parks and Recreation Department maintains several pavilions throughout the Town, including the performance pavilion, located at Heritage Park. All park pavilions are available to rent for both parties and events. Reservations can be scheduled up to six months in advance, and must be made in person at the Community Activity Center during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Wildlife Encounter Trail at Heritage Park The wildlife encounter nature trail is a great feature of Heritage Park. The concrete trail is stamped and colored to blend in with the natural surroundings, providing for a safe and accessible trail. Along the path, park goers will encounter life-size bronze sculptures of indigenous animals to the Flower Mound area such as bobcats, deer, and coyotes. In addition, there is interpretive signage for each animal that includes pictures, facts and descriptions, as well as life-size paw prints to use to find the location of the 12 bronze sculptures in the nature trail. The Parks and Recreation Department looks forward to seeing residents enjoy the park and its many amenities for years to come! Spring Break Art Camp
Young artists will create eight masterpiece paintings and drawings using four different mediums: acrylics, watercolors, charcoal, and oil pastels to create realistic landscapes, seascapes, and still lifes. SPRING BREAK CAMPS NEW! Virtual Augmented & Virtual Reality Virtual Superhero Programming & Robotics
Students learn coding, 3D design, and about augmented and virtual reality by creating virtual tours, storytelling, games, and simulations. The beauty of this approach is that it allows for creativity and coding in multiple dimensions. There is no limit to what one can create! The camp will include virtual learning in designing and coding interspersed with snack breaks and unplugged STEAM activities and projects. Only a device with internet access is needed. Bowmen Basketball Academy is all about fundamentals, such as, ball handling, passing, and shooting basics. The goal is to excite young players about the game of basketball. This class is taught by professionals who have coached for a decade and led youth athletes to the next level. Tumbling for Sporties & Shorties

YOUTH American Red Cross Babysitting and CPR
This class will teach students the skills needed to become a responsible babysitter. Everyone will receive a Babysitter’s Training Handbook, learn how to care for children and infants, be a good leader and role model, make good decisions, and solve problems. Ballet & Tap
Students develop poise and coordination while learning the fundamentals of ballet and tap. This class will also develop rhythm and music appreciation skills. Bowmen’s Homeschool PE
Homeschool PE allows students to explore many sports. Each class begins with a dynamic warm-up and stretch, then rotates through ability stations and drills to include sport specific drills and games. This includes rules of the game, strategy, and the fundamentals required to play. Fun, classic games like kickball, dodgeball, wiffle ball, and capture the flag are also enjoyed in addition to running a one-mile test and learning bodyweight strength training. AQUATICS Blue Fin Swim Team Clinics
These clinics will provide technical instruction in all four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly) plus starts, turns, and finishes. The primary emphasis will be to learn to swim the strokes properly and efficiently. Some interval training will be offered to maintain an aerobic endurance base. This is an ideal clinic for those planning on swimming competitively in the summer. Last day of registration for all sessions is the Thursday prior to the session start date. Pre-requisites: Ages 6-10 years must be able to swim one length of the pool (25 Yards) unassisted; Ages 11 and up must be able to swim two lengths of the pool unassisted. Water Park Lifeguard Training Course
This American Red Cross course certifies participants in lifeguard training, water park lifeguard training, first aid, and CPR for the professional rescuer. SENIORS IN MOTION SIM Memberships
Annual memberships can be purchased at the Senior Center courtesy desk. For Flower Mound residents, memberships are $10 per year. For non-residents, memberships are $20 per year. Non-members may also purchase a day pass to the Flower Mound Senior Center. Day passes are $1 for residents and $2 for non-residents.
Lunch Program
The Town of Flower Mound Seniors In Motion program offers lunch for seniors 50 years and older. Metroport Meals on Wheels will be providing and serving lunch from local restaurants on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Lunch begins at noon and is $4 per person. Join KFMB every third Saturday of each month from 9:30-11:30 a.m. for a small clean up, beautification project, or a Lend-a-Hand project. Need to complete community service hours, but can’t make it to the monthly cleanups? Have a large group looking for a volunteer opportunity? TrackItForward allows you to volunteer according to your schedule and gives you the ability to track your service hours through texting and online reporting for verification. KFMB Recycling Really Adds Up!
In 2020, KFMB began collecting plastic bags for recycling as part of the Bags to Benches campaign. From June to October, over 3,000 pounds of plastic had been collected! Drop off locations include the Community Activity Center, Library, Senior Center, Bridlewood Amenities Center, and the KFMB recycling drop-off event.

Underwater Easter Egg Hunt
Easter Egg Scramble
Hop on over to the CAC for the Underwater Egg Hunt! Egg-citing activities include a visit by the Easter Bunny, arts and crafts, and games. Stay around after the egg hunt to play in the pool and enjoy other activities. Parents must be in the water with all non-swimmers. Pre-registration is required.
Bring your children to Jake’s Hilltop Park as the Town celebrates its 37th Annual Easter Egg Scramble. Lots of candy will be available for the taking and there will be a special appearance by the Easter Bunny! Activities begin at 1:30 p.m., and the Scramble begins promptly at 2:30 p.m.
