Alive and Kicking
It’s not just a game to Alive and Kicking.
Alive and Kicking uses the lifecycle of a football to grow and strengthen communities around the world. Their footballs are created to have a positive social impact in the way they are manufactured, sold, and used.
Their story
Over 42% of people in sub-Saharan Africa are living below the poverty line, meaning their income is $1.90 or less per day. Although unemployment rates have been dropping, over 70% of jobs are classed as vulnerable. This means that workers can have limited access to social protection schemes, are often faced with low and highly volatile earnings, and may be forced to work in unsafe conditions. Alive and Kicking want to change this.
Their mission
Alive and Kicking’s mission is to provide ethical jobs for people from communities facing disadvantages. Employees have access to benefits such as a fair wage, holiday and sick pay, and a pension scheme. 99% of their staff are local and have access to a range of role opportunities from ball production and marketing to sales and finance.
It’s time to make a difference, one football at a time.
