PIP – Primeira Infância Primeiro
The ‘Primeira Infância Primeiro (‘Early Childhood First’ / ‘PIP’) portal, which was created during the campaign period for the municipal elections in 2019, was updated in 2022 with national and state information. Following this, another 30 indicators were added, being chosen by the “Nurturing Care” methodology developed by the World Health Organization (WHO), Unicef and the World Bank, involving all 5,570 Brazilian municipalities.

The platform is now much more detailed, especially for public administrators, who can now access three new tools. The interactive map of Brazil, that allows the indicators to be identified quickly and qualitatively; comparative blocks that order data making it possible to compare municipalities with similar characteristics; and a diagnostic panel that provides indicators on the different regions.
An area including recommendations for state executive governments, within the context of the 2022 Elections, was another of the portal’s innovations, which received more than 72,000 visits between January and August 2022 - an increase of 100% in relation to 2021 - and 193,000 views between January and October.
