Student Poster Board Sessions

Congratulations on being chosen as one of the presenters! The student poster board session will be held at the 2025 FMHCA Annual Conference. During the poster board session you will have the opportunity to:

Share your research proposal

Network with other students and professionals

Expand your resume and professional portfolio

Strengthen your PhD Program application and if you win, you will receive a FREE registration to the 2026 FMHCA Annual Conference!

Student Poster Board Session Instructions

The poster board presentations have been scheduled for Friday, January 31st, 2025 at 5:30pm The presentations will be held during in Salon DE You will be assigned your poster display number when arrive and check-in to the conference. During the session, posters will be discussed simultaneously. Your poster display must be manned at all times during the session by the primary author or the co-author(s). Winners will be announced at the end of the session.

Poster Board Set Up

Poster Size and Material: the poster board should be the standard flat poster board that can be pinned to the display pictured below Please have your poster boards professionally printed Hand-written poster boards are not permitted You are allotted ONE SIDE of the poster board display noted below.

How Poster Sessions Work: During specified poster session times, you will need to stand by your poster to answer any questions and to engage in discussion with attendees and poster session judges who will be circulating the poster session area during designated times

Poster Tips: Include attention-grabbing components

Your poster should attract attention, provide a brief and focused overview of your topic and research, and should include materials which can inspire discussions.

Appropriate and intriguing graphics can be a great supplement to your research. Be creative!

Presenters Must Furnish the Following

Identification sign- title of the presentation and student(s) name (this is very important). Diagram, charts, figures, photos, drawings- These should be sized and lettered so they are legible and readable at a distance of a few feet. They should also be simple, colorful, well-labeled, and neatly done.

Set Up Instructions

You may assemble your poster presentation in Salon DE beginning at 5:00pm Remember the event begins at 5:30 pm sharp so plan to allow enough time to set-up Remember that poster board displays will be assigned to you when you check in to the conference.

Material that is not pertinent to the subject of your presentation should not be exhibited

Presentation

Your poster board must be attended throughout the entire session by the primary author or co-author Materials must remain posted for the duration of the session.

Remember that this is an informal discussion and information exchange. This discussion may begin with a question from an interested attendee. You may initiate a discussion by pointing out the particular figure that depicts the essential conclusions of your presentation and allow questions and answers

Teardown Instructions

Remove all of your materials from the poster board immediately after the end of the presentation period.
