Northern Crane Equipment was founded by Patrick Meier after he noticed an unfilled niche in field crane service. Today, if the equipment lifts, picks or carries a load, the team at Northern Crane has you covered. Northern Crane & Equipment offers a wide variety of services including inspections, repairs and sales. From cranes and aerial lifts to engines, hoists and compressors, the team does it all. While they service North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, Eastern Montana and Wyoming, Northern Crane & Equipment is proud to be located in the Bismarck-Mandan community.

“The Bismarck-Mandan area is where I grew up. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else,” founder Patrick Meier said. “Being centrally located in the state is the perfect place for a service-based company.”

Northern Crane & Equipment is also dedicated to giving back to their community and continually supporting local and out-ofstate school sports.

Three divisions make up Northern Crane & Equipment: upfit/ repair, the engine department and the compressor and overhead crane division. Each division works together to make the sales and repair process seamless.
