NEW & UPDATES FNSB'S PIONEER PARK 2020 SCHEDULE & EVENT CANCELLATIONS For over 50 years, Pioneer Park has been the center for community gatherings through events, and activities as we told the story of Interior Alaska. This includes annual events such as Memorial Day and July 4th ceremonies, as well as smaller events like Military Appreciation Day. Each of these annual events are get-togethers things that the community looks forward to. With the need to be good stewards and follow the health mandates as issued by Governor Mike Dunleavy due to COVID-19, Pioneer Park announces that it will not hold any large-scale community events, nor will it operate the Whiskey Island and Crooked Creek Railroad during summer 2020. Pioneer Park Manager Donnie Hayes said, "This has been a hard decision as we tried to imagine how to keep the community and employees safe while following the social distancing and hygiene guidelines. During this time, our staff will use this time to focus on maintenance projects that will allow us to look forward to 2021 and make it one of the best years yet." Pioneer Park's staff will focus its attention on the general upkeep of the Park, railroad maintenance projects, a new roof on the Palace Theater, and many other small projects to beautify our gem in the center of the Golden Heart City. The public is invited to safely recreate here and support the many small businesses, museums and non-profits who call Pioneer Park home.

HAMME POOL IS OPEN! Hamme Pool is accepting reservations for Lap Swim & Water Walking! There is no cost to reserve a spot, but you will be required to pay when you arrive at the pool - $4.00 per Youth/Senior, $6.00 per Adult.
