PE and Sport in International Schools Job Alike Workshop Jerudong International School Brunei Friday 9th-10th November 2018 This Job Alike Workshop is an opportunity for FOBISIA Secondary PE Jaws teachers across the region to get together to share good practice and new ideas about the teaching of PE. All participants will be actively engaged in creating the agenda to ensure that the two day event meets the needs and wishes of those attending. All sessions will be delivered by those participating in the workshop. Some initial ideas for session topics are listed below: ● ● ● ●
Individualising Learning in Physical Education A4L - Assessing without levels Differentiation Using ICT in Physical Education
How to use all of the above to give students ownership of their learning. The above sessions are merely suggestions and it is hoped that the agenda will evolve based on the experience and interests of those attending. A Google Drive Folder will be shared with all delegates to build the agenda collaboratively as well as sharing resources in the run up to this event. To register for the event please use this link. The deadline for registration is Friday 11th October The fee for attending will be $80BND. The fee will include meals, transport to and from the hotel plus relevant resources. STEAM JAWS INFORMATION Dulwich College Beijing are proud to be hosting their first STEAM JAWS. The key objectives and aims of the JAWS are to support FOBISIA schools in the development of sustainable, multidisciplinary and exciting STEAM projects and curriculums, at both Junior and Senior school levels. The workshop will look beyond the acronym of STEAM and aims to help teachers to develop their own projects and curriculum that suit the needs of their students and within their context. Every participant will gain useful and practical ideas to help to nurture, cultivate and enhance the necessary skills for our students to excel within this field.

We would like to invite you to share your experiences in these or other related areas and further your own understanding , learning and knowledge of the Primary Maths Curriculum. Day 1 will offer the opportunity to see Maths take place at SCIPS before a number of small group discussions and workshops led by delegates. Day 2 will include a variety of workshops facilitated and led by delegates. There will also be an opportunity to prepare a presentation for your own school as well as extended discussion and networking. Please be aware that there is an expectation for all delegates to be involved in the presentation of a workshop at some point over the two days of the JAWs.

During the Job Alike Workshop (JAWs) there will be an opportunity to network with teachers from other FOBISIA schools to share excellent practice across Middle Leadership roles. Primarily, this JAWS is targeted at experienced, current, Middle Leaders yet content would prove extremely useful, and positively challenging, for aspiring Middle Leaders.

Hosts This is a co-hosted JAWs event: the Friday will be held at Sri KDU and the Saturday will be held at The British School of Kuala Lumpur (BSKL). Programme coordinators: Andrew Wyeth (Sri KDU) and Aidan Edmanson (BSKL).
Programme There is an expectation that all attendees actively participate throughout the two days and so the full agenda will be completed once all of the delegates are registered. Likewise, once there is a final list, all participants will be contacted and given the opportunity to lead certain workshop sessions. Possible themes, across the two days, will include: o Reassessing our own Leadership Styles o Emotional Intelligence in Leadership o Leading Teaching & Learning o Leading Effective Change o Leading Professional Development o Leading Difficult Situations o Leading Recruitment o Leading the Self o Deepening understanding of Whole School Leadership
