Travel Grants DEADLINE: DECEMBER 31, 2002. With support from the Archives and Libraries section of the American Folklore Society, organizers of the Building Bridges with Folklore Archives conference offer at least five travel grants of $100 each to facilitate attendance at the conference. The conference is in session from Thursday afternoon, February 27, through noon on Saturday, March 1. The meetings are held in the Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. The purpose of the grant is to encourage geographic and institutional representation among conference participants. The purpose of the conference is to encourage dialogue and disseminate information about best practices, pedagogy, technology and outreach linking folklore archives with classrooms, fieldwork, and other cultural institutions.
