MARKET & COMMODITY NEWS MAPLE LEAF - Product Portfolio Discontinuation Over the past few years Maple Leaf Foods has been developing the strategic blueprint for growth with a vision to become the Most Sustainable Protein Company on Earth. With that purpose in mind; Maple Leaf Foods has made significant investments in the plant protein category, including acquiring two of the leading brands in the North American market Lightlife and Field Roast Grain Meat Co. Both have established leadership positions and considerable brand equity in the rapidly growing segment of premium plant-based protein with a combined share of over 50%. With these acquisitions Maple Leaf is now positioned as a leader in the North American market for plant-based proteins. As a result of this, the oh naturel! portfolio of products will be discontinued effective October 2019. Please see the impacted SKUs; ▪ 63100430030 oh naturel! ® Quinoa Mushroom Burger 3.1oz ▪ 63100430054 oh naturel! ® Garden Vegetable Bites ▪ 63100430061 oh naturel! ® Black Bean Bites ▪ 63100430078 oh naturel! ® Spinach & Chickpea Patties.
