Like all independent schools, tuition at Foote covers a portion of the cost of providing an exceptional education. Gifts to the Foote Fund support tuition assistance, faculty growth and development, and student health and well-being, to name a few. Most importantly, it helps us maintain a strong educational foundation for our K–9 students, and provides the resources they need to thrive.
Your generosity helps us not only sustain but enhance the academics, arts, athletics, and traditions that are pillars of The Foote School experience.
We are committed to providing financial assistance to families who could not otherwise afford tuition.
Last year we provided $2.6M in financial assistance to new and current families, including supplementing transportation, field trips, and extracurricular activities and sports. Our ability to provide financial assistance strengthens our diverse, inclusive community and enhances our students’ depth of experience.
Gifts to The Foote Fund support signature experiences, like outdoor education, travel, and sustainability.
Initiatives within our outdoor education, sustainability, and travel programs complement a rich academic curriculum that provides Foote students with the skills and the vision to create their own path forward. These initiatives enable our students to gain confidence, test their limits, and define leadership on their own terms.
Increasing the cost of tuition isn’t an option.
Increasing tuition to cover the full cost of educating each student would put the cost of a Foote School education out of reach for many families.

THE FOOTE FUND
The Foote Fund helps annually to bridge the gap between tuition and the cost of educating each Foote student. Your gifts support day-to-day operations — from faculty salaries, classroom materials to technology, campus maintenance, and financial aid.
ENDOWED GIFTS
Endowed funds provide stable and sustainable support for Foote in perpetuity. An allocation is drawn annually from interest earned. The annual distribution is used to support the purpose designated by the donor(s). The school’s endowment currently totals more than $20 million.
PLANNED GIFTS
Planned gifts such as bequests or charitable trusts can help secure Foote’s future and may have additional financial benefits for the donor. The Foote School welcomes gifts made through different planned giving arrangements.
