Welcome to the WCT Academy!

Whether it’s one of our classes at WCT or one of our dozens of outreach workshops, our goal remains the same: to develop and strengthen core stage skills like listening, communication, and creative problem solving.

The skills we teach go well beyond the stage. They help students of any age build confidence, take creative risks, collaborate more effectively, and so much more!

As I enter my 11th season as Director of Education and Outreach here at WCT, I take great pride in the fun and supportive environment we continue to create.

There is something here for everyone.

If you’ve never experienced this program before, I sincerely hope this is the year you join us. And if you have any questions about what programs might be a good fit for you, give me a call! I’d be happy to talk with you and answer any questions you might have.

The Musical, All of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life!

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton the Elephant who must protect the Whos, guard an egg that’s been left in his care, and face ridicule and danger along the way. But fear not, because the powers of friendship, loyalty, and community emerge triumphant!

SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL JR will be double cast.

Each cast, the Horton cast and the Who cast, will perform one full weekend.

Scenic design starts out as just an idea. So how do you take that idea and bring it to life on the stage? This engaging class introduces students to the principles and practices of designing and building for the stage.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY embraces the wackiness in every family. Wednesday Addams has fallen in love with a sweet young man from a respectable family. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a hilarious dinner for Wednesday’s new boyfriend and his parents.

Rehearsals begin March 2021

Playwrights, directors, and actors ages 15-19 will bring original scripts from concept to performance in ONLY 4 DAYS! Topics, locations, directors and actors are all literally pulled from a hat. No preparation, no warning, no mercy – just young artists flying without a net!

Outreach Programs Academy Outreach maintains an ongoing presence in over 25 schools, community organizations, and local businesses.

Through our varied and adaptable offerings, we can create an outreach program that works for you. We build and develop core skills—such as listening, communication, and creative problem solving—that carry over from the stage into the classroom or workplace.

Educational Our school workshops engage and challenge students in a variety of ways. From a one day workshop to weekly classes to afterschool programming, we will help create a fun and supportive environment for students to thrive. It’s a great way to build self-confidence in your students.

Professional This is the ultimate team-building experience. No stage experience is needed for your group to enjoy this workshop.

From sales teams to teaching staffs, our workshops can be a great way to motivate each other, to support one another, or to just have some fun and try something new!

One-on-One Coaching Sessions Maybe you have a big audition coming up. Or you need some extra work on a script outside of rehearsal. Our one-on-one coaching sessions can give you the focused attention you need.

With 20 years of professional theatre experience, WCT’s Doug Jarecki will work with you to build your skills and your confidence. And with a one on one coaching session, there are no outside distractions. You can work at your own pace and schedule workshops around your availability.
