The Hunts are a family of nine whose performances cover a wide spectrum of musical genres, ranging from Celtic to country to rock and include a diverse repertoire of original compositions. Champion fiddling is mixed with a percussive blend of world-ranked step dancing, drums, djembes, ashikos, and cajons. Acoustic and electric guitars accompany soaring piano melodies and beautiful vocal harmonies. This is true family entertainment for all ages. The Hunts have performed from Scotland to Ireland to Canada and all over the United States. They have opened for the Virginia Symphony and performed for Queen Elizabeth during her most recent visit to the United States. They have played at performing arts centers, festivals and schools across the country. They offer educational workshops in strings, fiddle, guitar, songwriting and Irish step dance. The goal of their school shows and workshops is to educate participants and promote the arts while instilling a passion for music, song and dance. The Hunts have produced and recorded five CDs: Table for Two, Dance in the Field, Be Thou My Vision, Christmas with the Hunts and Hearts Held High; they have authored and published 101 Sizzling Tips for Excellence on the Violin and Fiddle Book; and they have produced The Hunt Family DVD. Individual Bios: Jessi (22) and Jenni (22) are identical twins. Jessi’s fast fiddling and love of music have led her to study music at Old Dominion University in VA. Jenni, who has been studying photography and web development, is a wellspring of song-writing and hopes to record all her own music. She also manages The Hunts Blog. Jessi has a folk style and enjoys adding harmonies to her sister’s more contemporary style of songwriting. Josh (20) is the soft-spoken bass player. He brings an easygoing personality to the stage. At age 15, Josh had the privilege of representing the United States in the World Championships of Irish Step Dancing in Glasgow, Scotland. Jonathan (18), songwriter and keyboard player, is always brainstorming about new songs. This five-time worldranked Irish step dancer has had the opportunity to dance in Belfast and Ennis, Ireland and Glasgow, Scotland. His musical styling is unique, with influences of TransSiberian Orchestra, Phantom of the Opera and Electric Light Orchestra. The Hunt Family 3
Jordan (17), the drummer, has a very energetic and dynamic personality. Jordan was the first family member who expressed a desire to dance. At age 3 he asked for a pair of tap shoes and then went on to be the lead dancer for the family at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg before earning a national ranking for Irish step dance. Justin (15) plays guitar and various hand percussion instruments as well as the fiddle and is the featured vocalist on “Hearts Held High.”
JJ (13) competed at age 10 in the World Championships of Irish Step Dancing in Philadelphia, PA. Justin and JJ enjoy making their own funny home movies when they’re not playing basketball or “Airsoft”.
Sandy, or “Mom,” has encouraged and trained the children in music over the years. In the early years, she led them to perform for hospitals, nursing homes, talent shows and on to bigger venues. Sandy directs and designs the shows while also teaching many other children at the Hunt Family Music Blast summer camp each year.
Clint, or “Head Navigator,” loves performing with the fam and feels that there is no better job in the world than what he is doing. Clint plays guitar and handles all of the sound needs for the group.

Corky Siegel’s Chamber Blues with Megon McDonough Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 7:30 PM $25/advance; $30/door
Corky Siegel has earned an international reputation as one of the world's great blues harmonica masters. He is a composer, blues pianist, and singer/songwriter. Corky Siegel's career began with a fortunate break when he formed the legendary Siegel-Schwall Band that toured the major rock palaces and clubs in the 60's and 70's. He was introduced to the blues through his very first steady engagement at Peppers, the internationally renowned blues club, where his job included performances with the blues masters themselves. Corky Siegel's newest project, Chamber Blues with the West End String Quartet and Frank Donaldson on world percussion, blends classical and blues styles in a chamber music setting. http://www.chamberblues.com/ Megon McDonough is best known for her work as an inaugural member of The Four Bitchin Babes. She has performed on stages as varied as The Cellar Door and Carnegie Hall. She is an accomplished comedic actress having appeared in numerous theater productions including Pump Boys and Dinettes, Beehive, and a box office recordbreaking starring role in Always Patsy Cline. Folk lovers may remember a 17-year old McDonough opening in the 70’s for John Denver, Steve Martin, and Harry Chapin. But McDonough classifies her music as folk/cabaret. Born in Illinois, McDonough was one of nine theatrically inclined children. Her IrishCatholic parents both had careers in the performing arts. She wrote her first song at 11, and was inspired to play the guitar and sing after watching The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. Ever since, her mantra Live to Sing and Love to Sing has guided this wife and mother from Chicago. http://www.megonmcdonough.com/ 6 Edgerton Performing Arts Center
