BIOGR APHIES Erica Cartledge (Wig Stylist) Erica received her Bachelor’s degree from UW-Parkside in 2006, and has also received Wigs and Maintenance Certification in 2007 from De Paul University. Erica is the Wigs and Make Up assistant at Florentine Opera in Milwaukee since 2007. Other credits include La Traviata at Skylight Opera Milwaukee, Around the World in 80 days and JEEVES INTERVENES at Chamber Theatre. Erica has also designed wigs for First Stage Children’s Theatre, Nicolet High School, and for Pius High School’s productions of Titanic and HairSpray J. Michael Desper (Resident Designer/ Technical Director) J. Michael Desper has designed over 70 productions for Sunset Playhouse since the summer of 2001. Previously he freelanced in Chicago for such companies as Circle Theatre of Forest Park, Pendulum Theatre, and Bowen Park Theatre and Opera. Before that, he earned his Master’s degree at San Diego State University and worked for the Tony Awardwinning La Jolla Playhouse. Originally from Oklahoma, Michael earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. In spring 2008, he briefly returned to educational theatre with a stint as Guest Artist and Instructor for North Dakota State University. He would like to extend an invitation to anyone interested in the technical aspects of theatre (and since you have read this far, there must be some interest) to give us a call at (262) 782-4431, ext. 235. We’re already working on the next show, so come be a part of what you see. Nancy Domres (Stage Manager) Welcome to Tuna… a place so nice you’ll visit it twice, which is exactly what Nancy has
done. As the stage manager for Sunset’s TUNA CHRISTMAS, she had so much fun she volunteered once again for the insanity back stage. Nancy usually appears on stage, most recently holding up the bar in Prelude to a Kiss. Other credits include Inspecting Carol (also directed by Bryce Lord) and many other farces and comedies over the last 30 years. She can be seen every year on the Channel 10 Auction as part of the “Steal of the Night” team. (Guess she’s attracted to craziness.) Thanks to Bryce, Jim, and Aaron for letting her play, and much love to Tom, Mike, and Laura who keep her sane. Jim Donaldson (Bertha Bumiller, Elmer Watkins, Hank Bumiller, Leonard Childers, Pearl Burras, R.R. Snavely, Reverend Spikes, Sheriff Givens, Thurston Wheelis and Yippy.) Jim is very happy to once again be working at Sunset Playhouse and tremendously pleased to be working on such a fun, fun show. You may have seen Jim last season at the Sunset as Theo in The Underpants or as the Bank Examiner in IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Recently, he was the Vagabond in Waukesha Civic Theater’s production of The Tavern. He is very grateful to his parents, his Aunt and Uncle, Aaron Klein, Bryce Lord, the fantastic Stage Managers, his girlfriend Colleen, and especially all of the costume people, without whom Jim would have surely lost his marbles. “Y’all come back now, y’hear!” Aaron Klein (Arles Struvie, Didi Snavely, Harold Dean Lattimer, Petey Fisk. Jody Bumiller, Stanely Bumiller, Charlene Bumiller, Chad Hartford, Phinas Blye) Aaron is thrilled to return to Sunset Playhouse and would like to thank all of his underworld connections for putting “pressure” on Bryce to cast Greater Tuna 3
B I O G R A P H I E S ( c o n t .) him in this show. Ironically, Aaron’s last performance was at Sunset as one of the Gangsters in The Drowsy Chaperone. When he is not performing, Aaron is often found drawing, reading, creating and watching films, and working as a graphic designer. Consuming cheese after 7:00 in the evening gives him strange dreams. Bryce Lord (Director) Bryce is happy to return to the Sunset Playhouse once again. In the past, he has directed productions of DEARLY DEPARTED, GUYS ON ICE, INSPECTING CAROL, SOCIAL SECURITY, SYLVIA and DAMN YANKEES. He has also appeared on stage as Rev. Shaw Moore in FOOTLOOSE, as well as in a number of Musical Mainstage performances. Bryce has also directed productions for Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Boulevard
Ensemble, Pius XI High School, Shorewood Players, Falls Patio Players and others. As an actor, Bryce has appeared on stage professionally on numerous occasions with First Stage Children’s Theater, Skylight Opera Theatre, Milwaukee Shakespeare and others. Alan Piotrowicz (Lighting Designer) Alan is excited to be back for his third show with Sunset Playhouse, following HAIR (Volunteer’s Choice Award for Favorite Lighting) and TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE. Later this season, he’ll return to design SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION. Alan is proud to have designed for several other fine companies in Wisconsin, including Falls Patio Players, Four Seasons Theatre, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Next Act Theatre, T.I.M.: The Improvised Musical, Uprooted Theatre, and Youngblood Theatre.

Much love to Eric. www.alanpiotrowicz.com Veronica Quirk (Assistant Stage Manager) This is the third show that Veronica has been a part of this season. She loved her onstage work in Prelude to a Kiss and had a blast as the assistant stage manager and props mistress for Arsenic and Old Lace. She was also happy to see her props get laughs at the Waukesha Civic Theater’s performance of Nuncrackers over the holiday and is thrilled to be reprising her role as assistant stage manager for Greater Tuna. She would also like to thank the cast and crew for making everyday she spends at the theater a great one and to her sup-
portive friends and family who never tire of hearing about unidentified flying Mexican food. Judith TuckerSnider (Costume Designer) As the head of Costumes and MakeUp at UW-Parkside for 26 years, and the chair of its Theatre Arts Department for 7, Judith designed for more than ninety shows. She has also been the costume designer for more than 35 professional productions, including WEST SIDE STORY and her award-winning BREAKER MORANT for Cal Rep in Long Beach, California. Since retiring, she has designed several shows around the Milwaukee area including Titanic, Hairspray, and Phantom of the Opera at the Pabst Theatre. But when the boffo-voiced opera star shows up drunk as a skunk, the harried manager does what any self-respecting producer would do: PUNT!
