BIOGR APHIES Chris Flieller (Charlie/Artistic Director, In Tandem Theatre) A fixture both on and backstage for more than 25 years in Milwaukee, Chris has numerous credits to his name.

Acting credits include In Tandem Theatre, Skylight Opera Theatre, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Theatre X, First Stage Children’s Theatre, and the Marcus Center/Milwaukee Repertory.

Among his directing credits are WONDER OF THE WORLD, SHAW SHORTS, THE EIGHT: REINDEER MONOLOGUES, HOLIDAY HELL, POLISH FROST, HOME, EQUUS (in a copresentation with the UWM undergraduate acting program) OLD WICKED SONGS, and most recently THRILL ME: THE LEOPOLD AND LOEB STORY for In Tandem. Chris directed ORPHEUS DESCENDING for the UWM Theatre Program and coaches numerous dialect and performance workshops.

Chris looks forward to directing the Milwaukee premiere of THE CHOSEN for In Tandem in March 2012.

Jane Flieller (Director/Managing Director, In Tandem Theatre) A former stage manager, Jane toured nationally with the Great American Children’s Theatre Company and has worked locally for Milwaukee Chamber Theatre,

First Stage Children’s Theatre, Theatre Tesseract, Next Act Theatre and Next Generation Theatre. For several years, Jane was the stage manager for ComedySportz, a position she originated. She co-founded In Tandem Theatre with her husband, Chris, in 1998 and now unleashes her creative energies in all aspects of running a small arts organization. Jane’s directing credits include In Tandem, Whitefish Bay High School, Carroll College and Broadway Baby Dinner Theatre. She looks forward to directing VERONICA’S POSITION for In Tandem Theatre later this season. As always, she gives thanks to her beloved husband, partner and best friend, Chris, through whom all things are possible.

David Bonofiglio (Alfred/Musical Director) A Milwaukee native, David holds a BFA in piano performance from Cardinal Stritch University. As a freelance pianist and accompanist, David has worked for many area theatre companies as accompanist and musical director. Favorite credits include SCROOGE IN ROUGE, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, A CUDAHY CAROLER CHRISTMAS, MY LIFE: THE MUSICAL with Beth Mulkerron and FORBES YOUR ERICTAINMENT with Alison Mary Forbes and Eric Nelson for the Skylight Miller Cabaret. David provides music supervision for Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets. Upcoming projects include IOLANTHE with Milwaukee Opera Theatre.

In addition to his theatrical work, he is currently the Director of Liturgical Music at Saint Matthias Parish in Milwaukee.

Matt Daniels (Lottie) Matt returns to In Tandem to reprise the role of Lottie. Recent credits include THE COMPLEAT WRKS OF WLLM SHKSPR ABRIDGED at Kentucky Rep, Jeeves in JEEVES INTERVENES and Phileas Fogg in AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, AESOP’S FABLES at First Stage, and IL BAZZONE with Clowntown Rep. He has also performed with Milwaukee Shakespeare and the Illinois and North Carolina Shakespeare Festivals, and extensively in New York. Matt is the cofounder and artistic director of Tyrannosaurus rep in NY and has recently directed at Sunset Playhouse and First Stage Theater Academy, for whom he also teaches. Training: Juilliard.

Marcella Kearns (Vesta) Marcella has most recently been seen as Mildred in Renaissance Theaterworks’ GORGONS. In the Midwest, she has appeared with First Stage Children’s Theater, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, In Tandem Theatre, goats & monkeys, Milwaukee Shakespeare, Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, and Milwaukee Repertory Theater; outside the region, she has worked with Studio Arena Theatre, Chamber Repertory Theatre,

and Texas Repertory Theatre. She serves as a teaching artist with First Stage, Milwaukee Rep, and What You Will.

Marcy holds an MFA from the University of South Carolina and completed a Fulbright Fellowship in Vienna, Austria.

Linda Freund (Set Designer) Linda is thrilled to dust off her set design of SCROOGE IN ROUGE, having designed once before for In Tandem with OLD WICKED SONGS. She has also enjoyed designing two children’s shows for the Florentine Opera. Her main focus over the past twenty-six years has been painting sets for the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Florentine Opera, Milwaukee Ballet and the Skylight Opera Theatre. Film credits include Mr. 3000, Public Enemy, and No God No Master. Linda also brings the theatre arts into homes with color consultation, decorative painting and murals. www.lindafreund.com.

Jonathon Leubner (Sound Design) Jonathon joyfully brings his holiday bells, boiings and belches to In Tandem Theatre’s SCROOGE IN ROUGE. It is his privilege to create alongside the very talented In Tandem Theatre team that all help bring the magic to the stage of the Tenth Street Theatre for you, our supportive audience, to experience and enjoy. Jonathon dedicates all of his work to his beautiful wife, Mary, and their three wonderful boys for their bountiful inspiration, love and support.

Doug Vance (Lighting Design) Doug returns to In Tandem having previously designed SCROOGE IN ROUGE and MURDER AT THE HOWARD JOHNSON’S last season. Other designs for In Tandem include HOME, THE AFGHAN WOMEN, HATE MAIL, YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN, MASS APPEAL, ROMANTIC FOOLS and THE APPLE TREE. Doug spent nine years at the Skylight Opera Theatre as Master Electrician.

While at the Skylight, he designed lights for many productions, counting SPITFIRE GRILL and TENDERLAND among his favorites. Doug spent three years with the UWM Theatre Department where he taught technical theatre. FROM THESE GREEN HEIGHTS and A RAISIN IN THE SUN were among his favorite designs. Doug lives in South Milwaukee with his German Shorthaired Pointers, Bailey and Louie.

Loren Watson (Board Operator) Beyond the annual run of SCROOGE IN ROUGE, Loren is a local sound designer. Recent works include DEAD MAN’S CELL PHONE with Pink Banana Theater, MRS. MANNERLY and ART OF MURDER at In Tandem, and GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES with Youngblood Theater. He loves his girlfriend Abbey, Thanksgiving turkey, and having family as close as Madison.

When Loren hears those sleigh bells ring, he breaks out a recording device and screams “Hey Santa, once more from the top, please!!”

Kathleen Smith (Costume Designer) Kathy is excited to be designing SCROOGE IN ROUGE for the third season. She also designed MRS. MANNERLY this season for In Tandem and will design their March production, THE CHOSEN. Kathy finds designing for live theatre the best part of her freelance work but she also enjoys working as Wardrobe Stylist for commercials, films and touring shows. If you love to laugh, you will love SCROOGE IN ROUGE! Cindy Thomas (Administrative/ Marketing Assistant, In Tandem Theatre) Cindy has been with In Tandem Theatre since August of 2008 as Marketing/ Administrative Assistant.

She has been involved with the arts, especially music, since she can remember. After graduating in 1981 from Silver Lake College with a BA in Voice and a minor in music business, Thomas moved to Milwaukee where she managed the print music departments of two local music stores and worked in sales/marketing for a print music publishing company. Cindy has sung and performed with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Music Under the Stars, Bel Canto Chorus, and is currently a member of the Florentine Opera Chorus.

Miranda Levy (Gallery Curator, In Tandem Theatre’s Tenth Street Gallery) Miranda grew up in Wilton, Wisconsin and joined the military at seventeen. She served eight years in the Army as a construction equipment mechanic where she was fortunate enough to serve in Germany for two months of the three years of her active In Tandem Theatre 5

B I O G R A P H I E S ( c o n t .) duty service. Shortly after her tour on Active Duty, she attended UWMilwaukee where she received her BFA in Photography and Fibers in 2009.

Throughout her career as an artist, she has competed in several local juried exhibitions and has shown her work in fashion shows at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Miranda currently runs the GAllery’s Artist In-Residence Program and recently placed as a finalist for the television show, Project Runway.

Theatre’s VOICE LAB, Concordia’s CINDERELLA and a UWM senior capstone project. Upcoming projects include THE BOYFRIEND at Ronald Reagan High School, and CINDERELLA at Shorewood Middle School. Baus teaches piano privately, along with teaching piano class at Reagan High School, and teaches musical theatre for the First Stage Summer Academy. He received is BM in Piano Pedagogy from Drake University.

Adam Baus is a Wisconsin native and recovering classical pianist.

Alongside SCROOGE IN ROUGE, he is the pianist for the Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets at the Skylight cabaret and will be performing with them at Waukesha Civic Theatre over New Years. He recently music directed and performed INTO THE WOODS with First Stage Young Company Class, accompanied Milwaukee Opera

Eleanor Cotey (Wardrobe/Crew) is glad to be working with In Tandem again, after designing OLD WICKED SONGS and TEA AT FIVE. Eleanor received her BFA in Costume Production from UWM in 2009. Since graduating, she has designed for The Fireside Theatre, Youngblood Theatre Company, and In Tandem Theatre. She has also spent five seasons with the Utah Shakespeare Festival and has stitched for the Milwaukee Rep and American Player’s Theatre. This fall, Eleanor returned for her third season with the Milwaukee Ballet Company and began her first season with the Florentine Opera.

A writer and performer, he wrote and directed the award-winning AND THE BALL AND ALL, the longest-running original comedy in New Orleans. Other award-winning comedies he’s co-written include HOLLYWOOD HEAVEN and THE BLACK AND WHITE BLUES, which played in New York City. Ricky has starred in THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP, GREATER TUNA, NOEL AND GERTIE, THE MIKADO, THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, LITTLE ME, CHICAGO, CANDIDE, and OLIVER! Graham has written, directed and performed in Crescent City for WWNO public radio. Graham appeared as the notorious Fagin in OLIVER for New Orleans’ Southern Rep, as well as co-starred in VARLA JEAN AND THE MUSHROOM HEADS in Provincetown, MA. Jefferson Turner, an actor, singer, musical director, and composer, comes from Jackson, MS. He moved to New Orleans and earned a music degree from Loyola University. Turner’s tenor voice was featured in SHUT UP, SWEET CHARLOTTE!, DAMN YANKEES, ANYTHING GOES, MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS, and THE BROTHERS GRIMM: A BARNYARD TALE. He served as musical director and conductor for A CHORUS LINE, LOUISIANA PURCHASE, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN and 20-some other productions. In 2008, Turner and other actors created and performed a cabaret benefit, HEARTSONG TWO: A NEW ORLEANS CONCERT FOR IOWA, as a response from “the big easy” in support of Midwest flood victims. In September 2009, Turner directed music and appeared in TAKING A CHANCE ON LOVE. In November, he directed music for THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. Mr. Turner teaches in the Musical Theatre Department at New Orleans Center for Creative Arts.

Ricky Graham and Jefferson Turner began collaborating in 2004 for the New Orleans Recreation Department where Ricky directed and Jefferson provided musical direction for teen and adult productions and programs. All this came to an abrupt halt when Hurricane Katrina hit in August 2005. Upon returning to the city in November, Ricky and Jefferson collaborated on the successful I’M STILL HERE, ME! – a two-person musical cabaret about New Orleans’ struggle to deal with the disaster. That show played a record 13 months.

SCROOGE IN ROUGE opened at Le Chat Noir in New Orleans in December 2007.

The inspiration for Scrooge came from Ricky’s love of the British Music Hall. Ricky brought together Jefferson Turner, Yvette Hargis and Jeff Roberson (aka Varla Jean Merman), to create something that might have been seen in England at Christmastime and American audiences loved it!
