BIO’S Chris Flieller (Director/Set Designer/Artistic Director, In Tandem Theatre) A fixture both on and backstage for more than 25 years in Milwaukee, Chris has numerous credits to his name. Acting credits include In Tandem Theatre, Skylight Opera Theatre, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Theatre X, First Stage Children’s Theatre, and the Marcus Center/Milwaukee Repertory. Among his directing credits are WONDER OF THE WORLD, SHAW SHORTS, THE EIGHT: REINDEER MONOLOGUES, HOLIDAY HELL, POLISH FROST, HOME, OLD WICKED SONGS, EQUUS (in a co-presentation with the UWM undergraduate acting program) and most recently, STUCK for In Tandem. Chris directed ORPHEUS DESCENDING for the UWM Theatre Program and coaches numerous dialect and performance workshops. Jane Flieller (Rehearsal Stage Manager/ Managing Director, In Tandem Theatre) A former stage manager, Jane toured nationally with the Great American Children’s Theatre Company and has worked locally for Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, First Stage Children’s Theatre, Theatre Tesseract, Next Act Theatre and Next Generation Theatre. For several years, Jane was the stage manager for ComedySportz, a position she originated. She co-founded In Tandem Theatre with her husband, Chris, in 1998 and now unleashes her creative energies in all aspects of running a small arts organization. Jane’s directing credits include In Tandem, Whitefish Bay High School, Carroll College and Broadway Baby Dinner Theatre. As always, she gives thanks to her beloved husband, partner and best friend, Chris, through whom all things are possible. Jane would like to dedicate this season to her father, Richard Aronson (1926–2010).

Tiffany Vance (Annie) Tiffany jumped at the chance to work with Chris and Jane once again. It’s been about three years since she was last seen on a Milwaukee stage. She’s stayed busy teaching at UW-Platteville, gardening and traveling. Other In Tandem productions that Tiffany’s been part of include TWO ROOMS, WHAT THE NIGHT IS FOR, SHAW SHORTS, and THE EIGHT: REINDEER MONOLOGUES. Steven M. Koehler (Jack) Steve is thrilled to make his In Tandem debut in ART OF MURDER. Other credits include Orin Scrivello in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and Caleb in THE SPITFIRE GRILL with Skylight Opera Theatre, Lloyd in GUYS ON ICE with the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre and American Folklore Theatre, and Howie in RABBIT HOLE with Milwaukee Chamber Theatre. Steve teaches physics and acting at the Milwaukee High School of the Arts. He and his wife, Julie-Honey, have been blessed with two boys, fifteen year-old, Alexander Steven and thirteen year-old, Austin Max. Liz Shipe (Kate) Liz is best known for shows done in the Milwaukee area. Past roles include Mary Kelly in Jackie Benka’s RIPPER, Lucy in DRACULA, Chastity in Neil Haven’s WHO KILLED SANTA? and PLAYDATERS, and Belle in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Liz has appeared in smaller roles in both JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and THE APPLE TREE with In Tandem Theatre. Other amazing companies with whom she has had the opportunity to work include Carte Blanche, Alchemist, and Illium Theatreworks. Liz would like to send out a thank you to her parents, who are the most wonderful people for putting up with her. In Tandem Theatre 3


B I O ’ S ( c o n t .) T. Stacy Hicks (Vincent) Mr. Hicks is pleased as punch to be making his In Tandem debut with this madcap, murderous romp. Most recently he appeared as King Alonso in THE TEMPEST with Optimist Theatre. He has also worked locally with Milwaukee Rep, Milwaukee Shakespeare, Renaissance Theatreworks, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Youngblood, Uprooted, Quasi Productions, Bunny Gumbo, and goats and monkeys. Next up is a staged reading of John Dryden’s ALL FOR LOVE with goats and monkeys. This winter will find Stacy in Arizona playing Algernon in THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST with Southwest Shakespeare Company. This spring, Stacy will be back at the Tenth Street Theatre apprearing in Uprooted Theatres production of Neil Haven’s PINK CHAMPAGNE in the role of Patrick. Amanda Schlicher (Costume Designer) Amanda is thrilled to be designing costumes for this thriller at In Tandem Theatre. It’s so thrilling! Amanda is a graduate of the UW-Whitewater Theatre Department and has worked as a costume designer and dresser for many Milwaukee theatres since graduating in 2004. Thanks to Chris and Jane for asking me back for the bazillionth time and thanks to the cast and crew for making this a great show. Mike Van Dreser (Lighting Design) Mike has designed lights for NEXT ACTORS SUMMER THEATRE FOR TEENS for Next Act Theatre as well as summer productions of FAITH HEALER, WINTER TALES, PAUL ROBESON IN CONCERT, THE VALUE OF NAMES, and BILLY BISHUP at the EAA Fly-in. He lit THE LAST FIVE YEARS at Sunset Playhouse, PANIC EXPRESS at the Broadway Theatre Center, THE ENCOUNTER and WHEN THE CURTAIN FALLS for Next Act Theatre, and KISS ME KATE at Greendale High School. 4 In Tandem Theatre

ART OF MURDER marks Mike’s first opportunity to work with In Tandem Theatre. Through Next Act Theatre, Mike has had the good fortune to work with and learn from renowned lighting designers Jason Fassl and Alan Piotrowicz, and knows their guidance and continuing education will help make him successful. Mike looks forward to many more productive years and any new opportunities that may come his way. Loren M. Watson (Sound Design, Set Construction) Loren, a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, has been helping out around In Tandem for the past two years. You may have seen him behind the “tech booth” during OLD WICKED SONGS and the very popular, SCROOGE IN ROUGE. He is very excited to now be a part of designing a show for Chris and Jane. Design credits to date include MILL FIRE, WHAT I DID LAST SUMMER, and a rendition of SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR for UWM. He has also begun work with Youngblood Theatre in Milwaukee, designing for their original script, DRIVE ME TO ARSON and their upcoming production FREAKSHOW by Carson Kreitzer. Loren would like to thank everyone who helped him get to this point in his life – Mom, Dad, and Michael. To all his professors – thanks for pushing me in the right direction. www.watsound.com Zach Westerman (Board Operator) Zach is thrilled to join the In Tandem team for this wickedly funny show. A relative newcomer to the theatre scene, Zach has a great interest in learning the medium of sound design. Zach likes to ride horses, paint walls and cook linguini to a perfect al dente.


B I O ’ S ( c o n t .) Cindy Thomas (Administrative/ Marketing Assistant, In Tandem Theatre) Cindy has been with In Tandem Theatre since August of 2008 as the Marketing/ Administrative Assistant. She has been involved with the arts, especially music, since she can remember. After graduating in 1981 from Silver Lake College with a BA in Voice and a minor in music business, Thomas moved to Milwaukee where she managed the print music departments of two local music stores and worked in sales/marketing for a print music publishing company. Cindy has sung and performed with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Music Under the Stars, Bel Canto Chorus, and is currently a member of the Florentine Opera Chorus.

Miranda Levy (Gallery Curator, In Tandem Theatre’s Tenth Street Gallery) Miranda grew up in Wilton, Wisconsin and joined the military at seventeen. She served eight years in the Army as a construction equipment mechanic where she was fortunate enough to serve in Germany for two months of the three years of her active duty service. Shortly after her tour on Active Duty, she attended UW-Milwaukee where she received her BFA in Photography and Fibers in 2009. Throughout her career as an artist, she has competed in several local juried exhibitions and has shown her work in fashion shows at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Her artwork compares the decoration of domestic spaces with the decoration of the female body, and explores how identity is formed though this process.

ABOUT THE PL AY WRIGHT Joe DiPietro wrote the book and lyrics to the musical comedy hit, I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE (composer, Jimmy Roberts), the longest running musical revue in off-Broadway history, with productions staged in over 150 cities around the world. Joe is also the author of the plays OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS, THE KISS AT CITY HALL, THE VIRGIN WEEPS, and the comic thriller ART OF MURDER (winner of the 2000 Edgar Award). He wrote the book to the “new” Gershwin musical HEAVEN ON EARTH (world premiere: Goodspeed Opera House, 2001), a new adaptation of Rodgers & Hart’s BABES IN ARMS (world premiere: Good Speed Opera House, 2002), and a new adaptation of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s ALLEGRO (world premiere Signature Theatre, 2004). In addition to his book and lyrics for the recent offBroadway musical, THE THING ABOUT MEN (composer, Jimmy Roberts), DiPietro’s other projects include book and lyrics for the rock & roll musical MEMPHIS (composer: David Bryan), premiered regionally in late 2003, and the book for ALL SHOOK UP, an original musical comedy featuring the songs of Elvis Presley which opened on Broadway in 2005. Joe is the recipient of the William Inge Theater Festival New Voices in American Theater Award, and has won the O’Neill National Playwright’s Conference MacArthur Award for comic writing. In a British music hall at the turn-of-the-century, a twenty-three member company is prepared to present the musical version of A Christmas Carol when twenty of them come down with food poisoning! Costumes fly and chaos ensues as the cast is reduced to three!
