B I O G R A P H I E S ( a l p h a b e t i c a l) Inge Adams (Props Mistress) Inge has acted in over a dozen plays at the Sunset in the last 17 years and loves to perform. But, she also derives great satisfaction in working off stage--volunteering in the box office, front of house, and on committees. Currently the Volunteer Coordinator, Inge would be happy to take you on a backstage tour to show you where you could fit in at the theatre. Just give the office a call to say you are interested. Jennifer Allen (Stage Manager) Jennifer is excited to be working with director Bryce Lord and fellow stage manager Kavyn Tarnowski again, and on such a fun show with lots of laughs. She has stage managed more than 10 productions at Sunset, most recently with 14 kids and 2 dogs in ANNIE. Thanks to the cast for this very special “fling�,and special thanks to Chris for his love and support.
B I O G R A P H I E S ( c o n t .) Beth Bland (Props Coordinator) While newlyminted as Props Coordinator, Beth is in her third season with Sunset. She thinks part of the fun of working behind the scenes is creating the “world” in which the actors move, whether it be props, stage managing, costumes, lights and sound, or wielding a paintbrush. Volunteer in the extreme, Beth also works backstage with the West Allis Players and Waukesha Civic Theatre, sits on the UW-Platteville Distance Education Alumni Advisory Board, and lends a hand to the Friends of the West Allis Public Library by assisting with book sales and writing for their newsletter.
Holly Blomquist (Lighting Designer) Holly’s lighting design work this season includes GORGONS (Renaissance Theatreworks), HEROES (Chamber Theatre), TEA AT FIVE (In Tandem) and GERSHWIN & FRIENDS (Skylight Music Theatre). She’s happy to return to the Sunset Playhouse, having last designed THE FARNDALE AVENUE CHRISTMAS CAROL in 2007. B I O G R A P H I E S ( c o n t .) Joanne Cunningham (Costume Coordinator) Joanne began “designing” clothes for her Barbie dolls many years ago, using paper towels and aluminum foil. Fortunately for the actors, she has since discovered fabric. After designing two huge productions at Wisconsin Hills Middle School (PIRATES OF PENZANCE and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST), she joined the costume department at Sunset for DROWSY CHAPERONE and has not yet left the building.
Jim Donaldson (Max) This show marks Jim’s fourth with Sunset Playhouse and he couldn’t be happier. LEND ME A TENOR has always held a special place in his heart since high school where he performed the role of Tito Merelli. He is grateful to once again be working with Bryce Lord and this fantastic cast of actors. Jim’s credits include GREATER TUNA, THE TAVERN, CANNIBAL THE MUSICAL, TWELFTH NIGHT, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, and THE UNDERPANTS.
J. Michael Desper (Resident Designer/ Technical Director) J. Michael Desper has designed over 70 productions for Sunset Playhouse since the summer of 2001. Previously he freelanced in Chicago for such companies as Circle Theatre of Forest Park, Pendulum Theatre, and Bowen Park Theatre and Opera. Before that, he earned his Master’s degree at San Diego State University and worked for the Tony Award-winning La Jolla Playhouse. Originally from Oklahoma, Michael earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. In spring 2008, he briefly returned to educational theatre with a stint as Guest Artist and Instructor for North Dakota State University. He would like to extend an invitation to anyone interested in the technical aspects of theatre (and since you have read this far, there must be some interest) to give us a call at (262) 782-4431, ext. 235. We’re already working on the next show, so come be a part of what you see.
Sally Finnigan (Julia) Thanks: to Diane for casting me in OUR TOWN at Summerstage of Delafield, getting my toes wet; to Bryce for the opportunity to have this experience at Sunset Playhouse; to my castmates, the tech crews, especially Ellen and Joanne; to my knitting groups who have supported me; and to dearest Tammy Vrba, without whose friendship and help with lines I wouldn’t have made it. Elise Georgeson (Diana) is over the moon to be making her Sunset debut. Recently she appeared as Shelby in STEEL MAGNOLIAS with the Village Playhouse of Wauwatosa. Other favorite roles include Abigail in the CRUCIBLE, Petruchio in TAMING OF THE SHREW, and a performer at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Elise would like to thank the talented cast and crew, friends and family, and most importantly husband Vince for love and support.

Last seen here as Karen in JAKE’S WOMEN, Jamieson’s other favorite roles include Melissa in The Boulevard Theatre’s THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION and Susannah in the Whitefish Bay Player’s LAUGHING STOCK. Jamieson would like to thank the entire cast and crew for this amazing experience and her family and friends for all their love and support. Scott Kopischke (Saunders) Most recently seen on the Sunset stage as Lloyd in GUYS ON ICE, Arnold in BOYS NEXT DOOR and Elwood P. Dowd in HARVEY, Scott is also a playwright. Previously-produced
plays include PAWNS and THE NARROW GATE, and the children’s musicals, THE DIRTY ROOM and JAR OF WISDOM. Scott and wife Joanne are Life Members at Sunset Playhouse and live in Menomonee Falls. Ellen Kozak (Costume Designer) I feel like I must have lived in the twenties and thirties in a past life--UNDER THE HOLLYWOOD SIGN and PRIVATE LIVES at the Milwaukee Rep, DALY NEWS, DIRTY BLONDES, HAY FEVER, and OLD SETTLER at the Chamber Theatre, DROWSY CHAPERONE, ANNIE and now LEND ME A TENOR here at Sunset Playhouse. Our stock from this period keeps growing and we have had lots of fun creating all these great looks for you. Where you are the Star! B I O G R A P H I E S ( c o n t .) and the High School of the Arts in Milwaukee. It has been fun seeing the next generation of theatre technicians in the making. Variety is the spice of life and my life is certainly full of variety. Bryce Lord (Director) is happy to return to Sunset where earlier this season he directed GREATER TUNA. Other directing projects at the Playhouse include DEARLY DEPARTED, GUYS ON ICE, INSPECTING CAROL, SOCIAL SECURITY, SYLVIA and DAMN YANKEES. He has also appeared on stage as Rev. Shaw Moore in FOOTLOOSE, as well as a number of Musical Mainstage performances. Bryce has directed productions for Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Boulevard Ensemble, Pius XI High School, Shorewood Players, Falls Patio Players and others. As an actor, Bryce has appeared on stage professionally with many companies including First Stage Children’s Theater, Skylight Opera Theatre, and Milwaukee Shakespeare. Stephanie Pluta (Maggie) Stephanie is more than thrilled to be returning to Sunset’s stage. Last seen here as Elaine in ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, the role of Maggie has definitely brought out her tendency to daydream. Although life often proves to be chaotic and just plain overwhelming, Stephanie encourages everyone to stop and smell the roses. She dedicates this show to her grandmother. Joaquin Rodriguez (Tito Merelli) Joaquin is thrilled to be making his Sunset Playhouse debut. He began 6 Sunset Playhouse
acting in 2010 after taking classes at the Milwaukee Rep. He has performed for Pink Banana Theatre’s One Act Festival, the Racine Theatre Guild, and most recently the Young Playwrights Festival at the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre. He would like to thank Bryce Lord for the opportunity to work with him and this talented cast. He would also like to thank his wife, Carla, for all her support. Michael Skocir (Bellhop) Michael is excited to be appearing in his fourth production at Sunset, where he was most recently seen in the SideNotes Cabaret feature BING CROSBY: CHRISTMAS ON THE AIR. An actor, singer, dancer, and percussionist, Michael has appeared with several companies throughout the region over the past 11 years including the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus, CircleStage, Caught In The Act, and SummerStage of Delafield. Thanks to his family and friends for their continued encouragement and support. Kavyn Tarnowski (Stage Manager) Kavyn is incredibly excited to be working on her first production at Sunset Playhouse! A familiar face at Waukesha Civic since 2003, her most recent work includes WILLY WONKA, THE TAVERN and NUNCRACKERS. May 17-26, 2012 6 Degrees of Separation When a young African-American man shows up at the New York apartment of well-to-do couple Ouisa and Flan Kitteridge, he immediately charms the couple with his stories and claim of being Sidney Poitier’s son. Telling the couple he has been mugged and is out of money, Paul gains the trust of Ouisa and Flan and finds a place to spend the night. But when the light of day comes and Paul’s stories begin to unravel, his saviors start to see they may be part of an elaborate con game.
