N O T E F R O M T H E AU T H O R I have long been fascinated by the link between the everyday life of individuals and the economic, political and cultural trends influencing the times in which they live.

This particular play explores the relationships between different people trying to navigate the world of aging and caregiving in America. Although the story is fictional, it’s full of details, expressions and incidents drawn directly from the hundreds of caregivers, family members, older adults and others who graciously shared their time to help shape this play. I am grateful for their stories, and find myself humbled and inspired by their emotional strength. This play is a testament to their heart.

NOTE FROM THE CO -PRODUCER In 2009, after experiencing the transformative power of the care provided by Nora Patterson Carty and Glenda Harmer and their crew, when dealing with a family member, I was determined to give credence and respect to their resonant talents.

Kay Dixon (actor) received dance training at the Mayfair Academy and vocal training with the Gospel Chorus at Free Spirit Ministries, both in Chicago where she is based. She has performed with many Madison theater groups, including Edgewood College Theatre Department, Broom Street Theater and Mercury Players Theatre.

Danielle Dresden (playwright/actor), founding artistic director of TAPIT/new works Ensemble Theater, has a Masters in Business in Arts Administration from UWMadison. A member of the Dramatists Guild, she has received numerous playwriting awards, including a recent Wisconsin Arts Board Fellowship. She has toured across the U.S. and abroad.

Michael Duffy (visual artist) is a Madison-based graphic artist. www.duff-co.com.

Christopher R. Dunham (scenic designer) is Assistant Professor of Theatre at Edgewood College. His design credits include Metamorphoses, Alice in Wonderland, The Little Prince and, in 2011, Bullying The Musical for TAPIT/new works.

He thanks his wife, Kat, and daughter, Emerson, for their love and support.

Kay Heggestad, MD (project advisor) is a Madison family physician with special interests in geriatrics, Advance Directives and end of life issues.

Patricia Micetic (lighting designer) is also an architect. She has worked with many theater groups in Madison and surrounding areas.

Tamara Moschea (director) received her BFA in Musical Theater and Dance from Millikin University, Decatur, Illinois.

She has directed, choreographed and performed in over 30 shows in Japan and in the US. Credits include One Monster After Another and New Voices World Premier (Chicago’s Child’s Play Touring Theatre), Living Histories (Meriter Senior Living Community in Madison) and Goodnight Moon (CTM).

She thanks her husband, Keith Moschea.

Wendy Nelson (video/animation) has worked as an independent filmmaker, photographer, animator and freelance video producer for over 20 years. Her freelance clients include trans-national corporations, arts and non-profit organizations and individuals. Her company, Lulubelladonna Pictures, can be contacted at lulubelladonna@aol.com.

Sheri Williams Pannell (actor) is a director, playwright and theater educator from Milwaukee. Pannell works for First Stage and holds an MFA from UW-Madison. Sheri performs Take Care in memory of her parents. She thanks Don & Donnie for their love and support of her art, I Corinthians 13.

Donna Peckett (actor/dancer) is a choreographer, actor, devoted arts educator and founding producing artistic director of TAPIT/new works Ensemble Theater. Recipient of several arts fellowships, she has toured across the US and abroad. She has a BA from UWMadison and is a member of the theater faculty of Edgewood College.

Jane Reynolds (composer/pianist) is also an educator and jazz radio host with a Ph.D. in Composition. Her CD,“Blue Got Up,” received a Wisconsin Arts Board composition award. She has performed extensively with many area artists, most recently as Artistic Co-Director for the Mary Lou Williams Centennial Celebration.

Tyler Falco Schott (technician), an Edgewood College Theatre Arts graduate, is currently resident light designer for UWBaraboo and Technical Director of Alley Stage in Mineral Point. He has worked as an actor, director, and playwright. He thanks Miranda for her love and his parents for their care and compassion.

Stephanie Robey (administrative assistant) has directed for Wisconsin Heights Players and will direct for Stoughton Village Players this summer.

Other credits include acting with Kathie Rasmussen Women’s Theatre, The Bricks Theatre, Edgewood College, CTM, and Theatre of Western Springs, Wisconsin.

She teaches in the English Department of Madison Area Technical College.

Sharon White (costumer) has worked with many Madison area theater groups, including Music Theatre of Madison, Verona Area Community Theater, CTM, Madison Opera, The Madison Savoyards and Madison Ballet.
