“…”APT decisively established itself as one of America’s most ambitious and consistently impressive classical summer festivals.” -Terry Teachout, The Wall Street Journal

The outdoor amphitheater stands within a natural hollow atop an oak-wooded hill, offering 1,148 comfortably cushioned seats under the sky and stars. In 2009, APT opened the indoor Touchstone Theatre, offering a different type of play and experience. APT’s 2013 season runs June 8 through October 20 and offers: William Shakespeare’s “The Two Gentlemen of Verona,” and “Hamlet,” W. Somerset Maugham’s “Too Many Husbands” (aka “Home and Beauty”), Tom Stoppard’s “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead” and “All My Sons” by Arthur Miller on the Up-the-Hill stage. In the Touchstone: “Molly Sweeney” by Brian Friel, “Dickens in America” by James DeVita and an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Antony and Cleopatra.” For more info, visit americanplayers.org or call the Box office at 608-588-2361.
