A FEW WORDS FROM THE PRODUCING ARTISTIC DIRECTOR Plato wrote, “Music gives a soul to the Universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, gaiety and life to everything. It is the essence of order, and leads to all that is good and just and beautiful.” This has been a topsy-turvy year for the entire world, and for our theater. Through the confusion, we have had to shift this year’s programming to find ways to bring great music and great theater to our audiences. Being able to produce this concert has created the “essence of order” for us and has reminded us all of the power of the art we create at Music Theater Works. I hope this concert will also bring something to your lives whether it be “charm to sadness”, or bringing back old memories of joy. I so look forward to being back in the theater and once again creating the magic that I know we will all need. Until then, stay healthy. Kyle A. Dougan Producing Artistic Director
