Target age: 7-12 years old Students will use the slab, coil, and pinch techniques. They will learn the use of glazes, as well as basic ceramic vocabulary while creating both functional and sculptural pieces. Visual Arts Painting & Drawing Studio for Adults

Target ages: 15+ years old For all levels of experience and run as a studio session, students will explore their own ideas for painting and drawing, using a variety of drawing and paint techniques and medium. Instructor will work briefly with students as a group, and then work with students individually while they develop their ideas. Once students develop idea with instructor a supply list will be made for each student. Literary/Visual Arts Draw Me a Story

Target ages: 3-6 years old Designed for the young book-lovers and artists alike, we will begin each class with a children’s story, and then create our own artwork based on characters, settings and events of the story. We will use pencils, paints, pastels and more to bring our favorite stories to life! Creative Kids

Target ages: 3-5 years old Tots come to have some fun at NSAA learning the basics of creating art. We’ll paint, draw, glue, cut paper, and form clay. These small artists are learning and progressing while having a colorfully good time! Private Art Lessons

Target grades: all ages depending on instructor’s advice NSAA has an excellent team of instructors qualified to teach private lessons. One on one instruction is offered in the following areas: piano (beginning piano and also advanced piano theory), violin, guitar, voice, performance, acting, auditioning, percussion, art, composition, private music exploration, music theory, yoga & dance. Private lessons in a variety of mediums such as ceramics, drawing, painting, or mixed, for artists of all ages who want individual guidance. Performing Arts 101 Dalmations

Target grades: 6-9 years old Based on the classic animated film, Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS is a fur-raising adventure featuring Cruella De Vil, Disney’s most outrageous villain, and 101 of the most adorable heroes to set their paws onstage. This will be a fun filled, action packed musical that you will not want to miss. Soma-Nidra-Nada Yoga and Somatics-Meditation Each Wednesday, come and enjoy the benefits of these forms of yoga that will help you develop or advance your practices. Each week we will alternate between Soma-NidraNada Meditation Class (see description ) and a Somatic-Mediation class, which will be an hour of somatics (see description), and meditation with the gong and crystal bowl- Nada incorporated. These classes are for all ability levels and perfect for those who’d like to completely relax and deepen their practice.

Prakasha Yoga, A Hatha-Soma Style

Offering both private and group This class combines yoga- the eastern practice of uniting mind, body and spirit through meditation, breathing and classical asanas, with somatics. Experience classical yoga poses, breathing and meditation techniques. Build strength, balance and flexibility on a new level. This practice is designed to balance and tone the body, focus the mind and recharge the spirit. All experience levels are welcomed and honored as modifications will be presented. Somatics

Offering both private and group “Somatics is a holistic and interdisciplinary approach that connects body sciences, and movement to help each person understand more about his or her body/mind and move toward greater integration.” This gentle movement modality, focused on releasing habitual muscle contraction, is designed to foster an internal sensory awareness to re-educate the body, releasing tension and promoting freedom of movement.

Private Reiki Sessions

Reiki is a stress reduction and relaxation technique from Japan that can also promote healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us through a “laying of the hands.” Reiki treats the whole person leaving them feeling relaxed, peaceful, secure and with a feeling of well being. Fee: $55 per session

LIVE YOUR LIGHT CLASS!

This Prakasha Yoga Class is designed for you to receive and give at the same time. Enjoy the hour of practice, knowing your full class tuition for that class is being donated to a selected cause. Do you have a non-profit organization whose mission is close to your heart? Submit your request to the studio, and if selected, invite your friends to the special class (open to the public) that will be designed to support the mission, through collective meditation, inspiration and the donation of the tuitions paid for that class. Become a part of this class and LIVE YOUR LIGHT!

Group Thai-Yoga Class

Experience this special form of yoga that infuses restorative yoga poses and breathing with Thai yoga techniques. Designed to improve posture, flexibility, digestion and circulation, this restorative class will reduce both physical and emotional tension while working to remove blocked energy and provide a new found freedom in mind, body and breath. With the benefit of two qualified instructors during one class, you will move into asanas and then receive hands-on adjustments that feel as relaxing as a massage. Firefly Yoga

This Preschool Parent Yoga class is a wonderful way to spend quality time with your child. We will joyfully explore the art of yoga through story, music, and movement. Nurturing mind, body and the creative spirit, the young and young at heart will enjoy these special moments together.

Zumba! Target ages: Teen/Adult Come join the fitness party! Everybody can join in, you do not have to have dance experience, and every class feels like a celebration!!! ZUMBA® is the latin inspired fitness phenomenon. ZUMBA® fuses Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves into a dynamic workout. ZUMBA® is a total body workout with toning exercises and fat-burning moves for a workout that’s more fun than it is work. ZUMBA® for Teens

Target ages: 12-18 (younger students require consent of instructor) The ZUMBA® for Teens class is the ultimate dance-fitness party for students 12-18. This class will combine easy-to-learn choreographed dance steps, and aerobic exercise moves performed to age-appropriate Latin, international, and popular music. ZUMBA® is a dance fitness party that teens won’t want to miss! The Arts Mill Gallery & Boutique is situated in the historic Grafton Mill and houses more than fourteen artists’ studios. These working studios (located on the 2nd floor) are nestled around a central boutique which features a variety of unique items from local and regional artists. We are open for events and private parties on our beautifully renovated 3rd floor. North Shore Academy of the Arts, Inc. (NSAA) is a not-for-profit company dedicated to offering high caliber opportunities in the performing, visual, and literary arts to all ages. It is designed to encourage, inspire and promote creativity while fostering a cultural appreciation of the arts in our communities. NSAA promotes a sense of self worth, responsibility, and strength of character while providing individuals and families the means to recognize and develop talents, interests, assets, and aspirations. Beyond the arts, NSAA strives to build healthy communities through the development of positive values and a commitment that will be evident across all cultural and socio-economic group
