Recent productions include: National Tour of Strega Nona with Bay Area Children’s Theatre/ Maximum Entertainment (2009.2010 tours) The Horses by Brian Thorstenson at AlterTheatre, The Shaker Chair by Adam Bock at Shotgun Players/Encore Theater, JUANA, a new opera by Carla Lucero at Theatre Artaud, and the critically acclaimed, award-winning production of Hunter Gatherers by Peter Nachtrieb at the Thick House in June 2006. Other directing credits include work with: Theatre Rhinoceros, Abydos Theater, Lunatique Fantastique, Stephen Pelton Dance Theater, Word for Word, Playground Company, Oakland Public Theatre, Z Space, and the Summer Plays Festival New York City. NICOLE MCGANN (Choreographer) is a proud member of the Bay Area Children’s Theatre family which brings her passions of dance and reading together. Nicole is a founding member of the award-winning Youth Theatre Company, and has provided choreography for other children’s theatre groups throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. She received her B.A. from U.C. Berkeley in English. SEAN FENTON (Music Director) has worked with BACT since 2004, most recently supervising the music for the national tour of Tomie dePaola’s Strega Nona. We specialize in literary adaptations of great children’s books. Through challenging and exciting productions that emphasize artistic excellence, we seek to engage a new generation of theatergoers and inspire young people to open their imaginations to new worlds. Bay Area Children’s Theatre has four programs: Main-stage productions, educational drama classes, touring productions, and pre-kindergarten special productions. We produce main stage productions in Berkeley, San Ramon, San Francisco, and Saratoga. Our performances feature professional adult performers. We hire designers and directors who bring vibrant, creative worlds to life and who understand how to make theatre accessible for young audiences. Past productions

OREGON CHILDREN’S THEATRE (OCT) (Producer) is Oregon’s flagship performing arts company for children and families. All of its programs, from stage to classroom, open the door to a life-long appreciation of the arts and use theater to advance growth, development and creativity in children. Each season, OCT produces five professional plays for families and school groups, reaching an audience of close to 100,000. As a resident company in the Portland Center for the Performing Arts, its audience members experience top-quality productions in spectacular venues in downtown Portland. The company is proud to commission at least one original work each year in collaboration with awardwinning authors and playwrights; many of its world premieres are subsequently seen on stages all over the country. BRAD SIMON (Booking Agent) A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Brad formed BSO in 1983 as a management company and booking agency for classic and contemporary jazz artists and is responsible for the company’s expansion into the representation of theatrical, dance and variety presentations. Brad has a Bachelor of Science degree from Carnegie-Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. He is a graduate of the Commercial Theater Institute and a member of The Broadway League.
