224 East Chicago Street • www.rubinsfurniture.com D I R E C TO R ’ S N O T E S A second chance is a beautiful thing. Devoutly to be wished for. And when you’re granted the opportunity – by whatever means -- to try the past again, it seems you’d jump at the chance to get it right. But time and events have a way of changing us, our outlook, our priorities. On closer examination, what you so desired back then may not work for you today; especially, if someone else is in the mix. Our author has created a romance, but with real people, leading real lives. The one time road to happiness is not grand gesture and poetry, but a sometimes prickly, sometimes embarrassing negotiation between two unique-but-ordinary souls who can think, can laugh, and can hurt. And, lest we forget, can love. Need love. Like we all do. And then there’s Linda Stephens and Jonathan Daly, together, onstage – also a beautiful thing. - David Cecsarini
