Emily also does stand-up comedy and has performed at the famed Caroline’s on Broadway. She received her BA in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2007. PRODUCER AND CREATIVE TEAM BIOS John Tartaglia (Creator, Book, Producer) might best be known as executive producer, creator and star of the eight time EMMY nominated “Johnny and the Sprites” (now airing worldwide), receiving a nomination for Outstanding Performance in a Children’s Series. He earned a TONY Award nomination for his broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning musical, Avenue Q, for which he originated the roles of Princeton and Rod. Other roles on broadway include starring as Lumiere in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and most recently, in the role of Pinocchio in Shrek The Musical. A 12-year veteran of “Sesame Street,” Tartaglia is one of the youngest puppeteers ever to perform on the show, starting at the age of 16. In addition to his work on “Sesame Street,” he also starred in Sesame Workshop’s innovative

english as a foreign language project, “Sesame English,” which currently airs worldwide. Tartaglia has also appeared on “Ugly Betty”, Hollywood Squares, Disney Channel’s “Bear in the Big Blue House” and “JoJo’s Circus” and Discovery Channel’s “Animal Jam.” He is currently developing several new live shows including directing The Musical Worlds of Jim Henson at Carnegie Hall in April 2012. He is a past host of the New York Philharmonic Young People’s Concerts. John’s production company, Gables Grove Productions (co-founded with Michael Shawn Lewis) is dedicated to creating new, immersive and multi-media family entertainment. Michael Shawn Lewis (Producer) has worked extensively in theater in Europe and across America. Broadway performing credits include The Phantom of the Opera and The

PRODUCER AND CREATIVE TEAM BIOS Woman in White, allowing him to work with two of the most prolific theater directors in history, Hal Prince and Trevor Nunn. In Europe he starred in Elisabeth - the Musical, Les Miserables, and numerous productions of Phantom. Michael recently starred in the Off-Broadway production of This Side of Paradise. Recordings include Bernstein’s Peter Pan, two albums of Elisabeth, the Musical, Frank Wildhorn’s Tears of Heaven. Michael received a Drama Desk nomination in 2010 for his work as Producer on the current Off-Broadway production of ImaginOcean. Michael is currently producing/developing a pilot series entitled ‘’The New Fangled Variety Show’’ starring John Tartaglia. He is founding member of Gables Grove Productions, Inc., through which he has co-created and co-produced family entertainment for Royal

Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Lines. Michael is one of the founders of the New York Children’s Theater Festival. Broadway Theatrical (Producer) was founded by Philip Katz, who has worked in the Broadway industry for the past 20 years as a marketing and development consultant. Recent credits include Shrek The Musical, West Side Story, Hairspray, The Opera Show (U.K.) Chicago & Victor/ Victoria. Under the banner of Thru The Stage Door, Philip provides cutting-edge interactive study guides and experiential workshops for shows. Along with his ImaginOcean duties, he has served as Art Director for a New York based Arts Marketing company, writing and designing educational study guides for Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional theatre. Prior to that, he spent 20 years with the historic Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA as Director of Marketing and Public Relations. Currently, he serves as the media representative for New Jersey’s Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre and is busily shopping around his television comedy about a fictional regional theatre. Matthias Winter (Sound Engineer) comes from southern Germany and started playing instruments (violin, piano, drums) at a young age. At age 16 his interests rapidly shifted to Sound Engineering. After an Audio Engineer Diploma course at the SAE Institute in Frankfurt, Matthias interned and quickly was promoted to studio engineering assistant at a major recording facility in Frankfurt. He was taught the secrets of sound mixing by Chris Heil (David Bowie, Huey Lewis 10 ImaginOcean | Overture Center

& The News, Tin Machine, Bryan Adams, B.B. King, etc.). In April 2006, Matthias moved to New York and has been freelancing as an engineer with Yellow Sound Lab, among others. The Puppet Kitchen (Puppet Design & Fabrication) is a full-service Puppet and Specialty Prop design and fabrication studio in New York’s East Village. Led by Emily DeCola, Michael Schupbach and Eric Wright, with a collective experience of over 30 years in puppetry, The Puppet Kitchen has built creatures, characters, and performing objects for The Public Theater, CollegeHumor.com, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Disney Theme Parks, PBS, TheaterWorks USA, The HERE Theater, Feist, Ensemble Studio Theater, Dance Theater Workshop and more.
