How To Lose Weight Quickly and Cleanse At The Same Time

We might as well face it; we want to look like most of the people we see in movies, music videos, magazines, you name it. Yes, most of these people are slim. Now, I wouldn’t say they all were HEALTHY but I agree a lot of them are slim and shapely. However, what if I were to tell you that even considering the sound-bite age we are in, you still could achieve a quick yet healthy weight loss, since you may be reading this right now, would you be interested? Chances are your response would be, yes. Folks, only very few people accept that one sure-fire, all natural, method can lead to a slimmer and more importantly healthier person. Note, I said ‘accept’ because I will be the first to admit that upon the first mention of the method, most people might agree but I’m yet to see (in person, cause I have heard of it) someone actually do it. Maybe you could be the one who might prove the doubters wrong. Well, Aje, what is the method you are talking about? This method is as old as the mountains and is known as Fasting. This component of drug-free healing is by far a greater cure of our ills-both physical and mentalthan all of the drugs of the medical fraternity combined. Moreover, I will say when combined with an exclusive mucus-binding diet of mainly fruits, leafy and root vegetables (raw and cooked) and even basic exercises that involve the use of one’s own body weight for resistance such as Yoga, Calisthenics and Pilates, a well conducted fast can reap untold benefits for those seeking to lose weight. Now, owing to the amount of discipline and will-power that one may have to apply towards using this method perfectly, there are several kinds of fast which are more or less useful for not only achieving a healthy and effective weight loss, but improving your health inside and out. These methods include: 1. The Fruit Fast: This is the consumption of an exclusive fruit diet of a seasonal organic fruit. For example, at the time of this writing (late winter), apples, pears, Asian-pears and citrus are the main fruits in season now, so if one were to eat only one kind of these fruits for 2 meals (lunch and dinner) all day for about 2 weeks, that could be viewed as a fast. 2. The Juice Fast:

This is the next step up from the fruit fast and personally, I would say that perhaps the two best choices would be the use of the famed Master Cleanser/Lemonade Diet or a Variation of that which would involve using oranges instead of lemons and not using the cayenne pepper. About 10 years from this writing, February 2010, I used to juice carrots, apples etc but honestly found it to be too time consuming, to expensive and too artificial. 1. The Complete Water Fast: This, admittedly, should be conducted with extreme caution or in a specialized sanitarium if undertaken for more than 3 days. However, this is only being mentioned as most people seem to not be able to last long on this fasting method due only to distractions from friends and family. So, if you have the will-power and mental fortitude to not be distracted, yes by all means go as long as you can under 2 advisable conditions: a. You squeeze lemon into the water (1 lemon for 1 room temperature quart of water/ 2-3 lemons for 2-3 quarts per day) b. By all means, DO NOT engage in strenuous exercise. For the first 2 options, oh yes, you will be fine. While on a 16 day juice fast, I worked as a loader for UPS so I know hunger, lethargy or weakness are not issues, quite the contrary!) Now, if you notice, I started with least challenging to the most challenging method of fasting, but another link should be noted. If you gave yourself a month to lose weight, use each option as a warm-up or predecessor to the other and warm yourself back to eating solid foods by going from Type 3 to Type 2 and finally 1. For example: You could eat mono-meals of fruit for 2 weeks, do a juice fast for 1 week, then do the LemonWater fast for the recommended 3 days, then go back to a juice fast for 1 week, then fruits for 2 weeks. That would be a total of about 6.5 weeks of fasting that would involve a weight loss and simultaneous detoxification. Now that these methods are outlined, here are some other tips to remember before, during and after your fast. Here are a few tips: 1. Prepare yourself for the restricted diet by gradually tapering off junk foods and commence to consuming raw and cooked fruits and veggies to begin a milder cleansing process. (2 weeks to a month of this would be more than enough. 2. Drink 2 quarts of unflavored lemonade in the mornings to balance the chemical reactions within the body and to restore it to an alkaline state and from now on, you want to basically have

this lemonade (room-temperature) as your breakfast. If you’re wondering why, this is because our system goes through a cleansing process from twelve midnight until twelve noon, and a building program from twelve noon to twelve midnight. Therefore, what is eaten during these respective periods must be harmonious with the natural processes. 3. Be mentally prepared for the task ahead of fasting. 4. Take things a little easier while fasting or on a mono-diet of fruit, if you workout a lot, maybe go at about 60-70% of your usual workout as right now, we are cleansing, not just trying to lose weight. 5. Avoid using microwaves at all costs. I touched on this subject in the free section on controlling acne in my site. 6. Please use a shower filter, a specially designated veggie wash and filtered water. I hope the information provided here thus far helps. I’m sure it will because for a healthy weight loss, a cleanse brought about by a fast is indeed the best way to lose weight quickly.
