Basketball TINKOFF BIKE The most famous two-wheels in the world. We’re talking about the extraordinary Tinkoff Team, with riders Alberto Contador, Ivan Basso and Pavel Brutt. The lessons, private or in groups, lasting 1 day, 3 days or 5 days, involve training and tests on the road, with sprints through the spectacular countryside of southern Sardinia. Riding with you are the fantastic trainers of Team Tinkoff, cycling legends and leading sporting directors like Roberto Damiani.
He trained the Los Angeles Lakers, the legendary CSKA Moscow and now he’s with the Italian National Squad. Ettore Messina, the most famous European basketball coach of all time, heads up our very own Basketball Academy for players aged between 6 and 16. Ettore is flanked by trainers of the calibre of Giorgio Valli, Sergey Tarakanov and Dima Shakoulin. So why play basketball? “Because it’s a game of action and reaction. Because you need to be fast, brilliantly skilled and incredibly resilient… as well as imaginative and a real team player,” explains Ettore himself. Come and shoot some hoops!

Chelsea Football It’s a dream to play together with the stars of the great Chelsea squad. If your kids live for football and are between 4 and 14, imagine watching them attack, defend, dribble, score or, if in goal, save, all under the supervision of the trainers and famous former players of the fantastic Chelsea Football Club Soccer School. Each week, specific courses for each position, tactical lessons, individual technique and actual matches. There’s even a personalised shirt. And, this summer, three exceptional trainers: Paulo Ferreira (25th June to 3rd July), Dennis Wise (16th to 23rd July) and Tore Andre Flo (25th July to 3rd August).
Netball Fast and passionate. Netball is very similar to Basketball without the backboard and with only one net. However, it is equally intense and easy to learn. Played mainly by females, it is a perfect sport for children, teenagers and adults. Our teachers? You’ll be coached by absolute legends. RUGBY TENNIS STAR Let’s start with the clay courts, twelve of them in fact, and a brand new Club House. And now we head to the net with some of the world’s ‘heavy hitters’, coordinated by Rocco Loccisano, who trained Pat Cash. Courses for all ages, junior and senior, with specialisations when it comes to techniques for competition and single strokes, analysed by a sophisticated video system. Our guest stars are Paul Haarhuis (12th to 23rd July) and Dominik Hrbaty (18th to 31st July).
Yes, this is the energy of our Rugby Academy. Passion, tenacity and fun for boys and girls from 5 to 16, at all levels of experience. Our teachers? Simply the best. Are you ready for the freshest cocktail of the summer? Here is our Aqvatica Beach Club. Try it at home too. Ingredients 3 cl of vodka 1 cl of Cointreau ½ lime 2 slices of ginger
1 teaspoon of brown sugar orange peel 2 sprigs of mint 1 can of Sprite
In the glass, crush the diced ½ lime together with a teaspoon of brown sugar, the orange peel and two slices of fresh ginger. Then fill the glass with ice, add vodka, Cointreau and a sprig of mint. Finally pour in the Sprite and mix well. Decorate with a sprig of mint and orange peel sliced julienne-style.

A world of flavours Raise your hand if you know of any gastronomic tradition that is richer, more creative, older, more current or more healthy than Italian cuisine. And it is to this cultural heritage, unique in the world – the Mediterranean diet is on the UNESCO World Heritage List after all – that Forte Village dedicates three of its restaurants. This makes for a “cultural heritage” of more than 150 dishes. We’ll start from the top, location-wise, on the terrace of the Belvedere, the kingdom of chef Antonello Arrus (photo). Then we head down to the garden, and the rich buffet of the Cavalieri where Efisio Mocci creates an extravagant array of dishes, freshly prepared each evening. The sea is just a few steps away. Now you have two choices: the cool surroundings of the Bellavista, or the casual elegance of Le Dune restaurant, where chef Andrea Putzu conjures up exquisite fresh fish dishes every evening.
We’re off, and dinner turns into a voyage of discovery, in search of the world’s greatest gastronomic traditions. We start at our Sardo Restaurant, which interprets one of Italy’s most original traditions. A meat-lover? Don’t miss the Brasiliano Restaurant and its extraordinary grilled meats, with sides of potato and caramelised pineapple. Then it’s on to Argentina and Ireland to taste the best rib-eye steak at the Torre Grill. Last stop the Asian Restaurant, for a taste of the Orient.
Sardinia, what taste
Irresistible. And impossible. In the sense that you can’t resist the temptation to bring a gastronomic treat home from Sardinia. In our store, you’ll find only the best, from fregola to carasau bread, from fish eggs, to salt with lemon and chilli powder, and then honeys and prickly pear jams, as well as apples and figs. And don’t forget a bottle of Limoncello, Mirti or Filu Ferro of course.

Mario’s Restaurant Children can enjoy the wonderful Mario’s Restaurant in Forte Village, the name of which is taken from our mascot, Mario the parrot. Open between 12:00pm and 1:30pm and 6:00pm to 7:30pm with special menus. And if the grown-ups want to taste the great chefs’ dishes? In Children’s Wonderland they’ll also find the most reliable of babysitting services.
