Hands-On Technology A lot of schools have great technology, but as a student at FHSU, you’ll actually get to use it. Drones, robotics, laser cutters, radiologic diagnostic units, nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers, graphic information systems software, and electrophoresis equipment – if you can pronounce it, we’ve got it. Our students get real-world, hands-on experience on state-of-theart equipment that truly sets them apart. “Start here, go far, FHSU helps our graduates find careers all over the country”
Alumni Success
Over 95% of FHSU students find a job or placement in graduate school (or other schools) within six months after graduation. Why do so many employers and graduate schools love FHSU grads? Because our students have a great reputation. They’re optimistic and never afraid to get their hands dirty. Unbound by limitations, our grads go as far as their imaginations and hard work can carry them.
Business and Entrepreneurship
Do you have a mind for business or a knack for crunching numbers? Or maybe you like to try new things, tear existing paradigms apart, and create something the world has never seen. If so, FHSU gets you, and we’ll provide the support you need to start up your ‘startup.’

Teacher Education
Every day, teachers hold the future of the world in their hands. FHSU knows educating young minds is a meaningful and vital vocation – that’s why we support future educators by offering award-winning education programs. FHSU alumni from the College of Education make up the majority of principals and superintendents in the state of Kansas.
Heart of Humanities
The heart of FHSU’s robust liberal arts education beats proudly throughout several quality humanities disciplines. Rigorous study in fields such as English, Philosophy, Leadership Studies, Sociology or Modern Languages not only gives students deep disciplinespecific knowledge, but it also equips our graduates with the skills employers seek most: critical thinking and reasoning skills, and high verbal and written communication abilities. 9
“FHSU provides an abundance of resources that allow students to learn all they can in the classroom and then apply those skills in the professional environment through opportunities such as internships, externships and positions during your college career. On top of that, you’ll likely graduate with a substantially smaller amount of student debt than if you were to attend another school. My time at FHSU prepared me for a bright and successful career in hospitality and I am beyond thankful for the amazing faculty that helped me get to where I am today.”

LIVING LEARNING COMMUNITIES
No matter how ready you think you are, adjusting to college life can be a challenge. FHSU helps make that transition easier through learning communities. A learning community is a group of first-year students who share common interests, take classes together, live on the same floor, and participate in activities throughout the year. Learning communities are built around a variety of interests, from athletics, to majors, to entrepreneurship and innovation, to outdoor pursuits.

Facts and stats are important, but in the end the most important consideration in choosing a college comes down to one simple question:
IS FHSU THE RIGHT FIT FOR ME?
The only way to be sure is to schedule a campus visit. We’ll show you around, let you talk to current faculty and students and set up meetings and tours with the programs you’re interested in. You can learn about campus clubs and check out the residence halls.
