“As I was preparing to transfer and making my final decisions, I wanted to be part of a school where I could envision myself as a significant part of the college and community. Fort Hays State University was the first place where I truly felt uplifted in all aspects of my educational journey, celebrated as an individual, and embraced like family. FHSU acknowledged my previous accomplishments and honored my transfer scholarships at their maximum value with no hesitation. It provided me with one of the best jobs on campus as a Student Ambassador and tour guide, trusting me to be the “face of the university” and share with our visitors an institution that is driven to help you reach your goals — every single one of them.”

“Choosing to transfer to Fort Hays over other four year institutions was an easy decision. Not only was Fort Hays close to home, but the affordability was too good to pass up. After visiting campus and speaking with the advisors in my area of study I knew I wanted to be a Tiger. Not only did I feel like a part of a family, but I felt like I was wanted.” JACE ARMSTRONG Digital Media Production
