SCOOTERS For ages 2-3, with parent. Experience a fun and playful atmosphere with your little ones as they explore and experience the world of movement. Structure is introduced as well as plenty of time for free exploration—how Scooters learn best! For safety reasons, younger siblings are required to be either in a carrier or stroller & older siblings must be able to entertain themselves in bleachers or on the foam letters by the mirrors for the entirety of the class. Parents may also drop-off siblings to KidZone at the Ft. Meigs YMCA main branch for the duration of Parent/Child class time. Coed, Age specific to 4 & 5 year olds, without parent. Gymnastics equipment-based classes. Developmentally appropriate program promotes strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, focus and gross motor skills. Progressive gymnastics skills (beginner- intermediate) are introduced and developed as the gymnast’s skill level improves. Equipment includes all “big kid” Olympic events sized for “little kids”!

PRE-TEAM
Gymnasts in Girls 5 and Girls 6 who are interested and ready for competitive gymnastics may try out for this training program. Pre-team gymnasts will focus heavily on USAG Level 3 competitive routines and skills. This class meets twice weekly and commitment to attendance is encouraged. Tryouts will be in June and December only, date and time will be posted. Realistic expectation would be for the gymnast to be ready for the annual June Gymcat tryouts.
