Mar. 8 - FRG Expo, 6 pm at the Patriot Club. Family and MWR, in partnership with 214th Fires BDE will host an event for all FRG Leaders and Key Volunteers. Many Fort Sill agencies will have displays, games and give-aways to showcase the programs, services and events available to Family Readiness Groups. The EDGE! Program offers out-of-school opportunities for children and youth, ages 6-18 to experience, develop, grow and excel by participating in cutting-edge programs. EDGE! Youth Summertime Activitiy & Job Expo

Parents, stay stress-free this summer by attending the Youth Summertime Activity and Job Expo, Mar. 31 from 1-4 pm at Rinehart Fitness Center. The expo will kick off the April Month of the Military Child celebration and offer parents many summertime options for children ages 3 to 19. It will also target teens to assist with job opportunities and college application requirments. Dozens of organizations that host an education program, camps and volunteer activities are invited to showcase their programs. Some organizations include Oklahoma University and Oklahoma State University, Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, the Fort Sill Hired! Program and volunteer programs from several local hospitals. Army Community Service (ACS) Army Family Team Building (AFTB) May 9-10 - AFTB Level I, 9 am-3 pm at AFTB Training Center, 2719 Bragg Rd. This ‘Army 101’ class introduces newcomers the basic terms, acronyms and resources needed in order to successfully transition into the Army lifestyle. This class is geared toward those who are getting involved in the military community and have taken on a leadership role. Need a summer job? Hired! Summer Term allows teens, 15-18 years old, a chance to receive valuable work experience and workforce preparation. The Hired! Apprenticeship Program gives participants the opportunity to explore secondary education options and work with an assigned mentor in one of many career interest areas. Teens leave the program better equipped with the skills needed to thrive in a highly competitive job market. The summer term runs June 4-August 23 and the application deadline is May 4.
